I have unfortunately destroyed a Kerbal Easter egg

I've created a Kerbalmap with ISA Mapsat and it was an anomaly west of KSC to detect - of course I want to investigate. So I built a robotic jet, which could throw off a rover (with parachute) I flew - Rover dropped - landed safely - almost pinpoint accuracy - no 200m away was a kind Monilith. So I am using the Rover drove out to look at it closer and now it comes! I have badly steered a little bit and have gone with Rover easily against it. There was a brief puff and the monolith was gone ...

When I tried to load a saved game I accidentally pressed F5 - that created a new savegame, instead of loading one ... Then I thought - with "Restart flight" it is all restored - so the whole thing again pulled through - flew with the Jet - Rover dropped - but since nothing seems to be (in the ISA map but the point is still shown)

Does anyone have an idea if I get the monolith again, or have I destroyed a valuable Archaeological artefact ?...

Heh? Weird. Was the "puff" the monolith or your rover? After the monolith disappeared, did your rover stay?

Perhaps it's glitched underground. It sounds like a bit of a bug to me.

Yes, nothing happens with the rover - the monolith is destroyed - i want him back - eventualy edit the savegame? Or is it like a death kerman and after a while he is back by itself?

The sound "puff" was the same as a kerbal death-puff by decompression its space suite in space...

that's weird on my game that monlith is floating a good 100m or more in the air. I've got a science outpost out there now studying it.

Ok, my rover will remain there and watch the place. Maybe one day the monolith returns ...

Final report:

Yesterday I have looked at aforesaid place with my Rover again - astounding changes have happened:

instead of small bushes - trees stand there now everywhere around and over the place, in that the obelisk-like monolith stood was there a Squad stele floating now... what a strange story

It`s a terraformer obelisk that you have set off it seems.
