My rover is inactive when undock

Hello

Here is my little rover from the utility sandbox, equipped with remote control, some solar panels and battery

Working perfectly on lauchpad, can be activated and can be used for exploring....

Now here is the same when docked laterraly on a tank.

It is still activable BUT....

When I click on the left docking port, the docking port on the rover, here is what I see

I click on "decouple node", the rover falls on his wheels on ground and then becomes completely inactive.

It is impossible to activate it.

What is happening??

To build it, I built the rover, then I placed the 2 docking ports on it, the second one being reversed (as male and female plug)

Then I mounted it on the tank.

By the way mounting such a thing, with a docking port, lateraly on the tank was very tricky, it tooks me dozens of tries before I succeed.....

Is there a particular way to do it so that it is not tricky to mount it laterally and so that the rover can be activated once on the ground?

Have you tried switching with the [ & ] keys? KSP tend to choose to stay in control of the bit that youdon't want whenever I decouple...

Sorry, What do you mean by switching [ & ] keys ? how do I exactly have to use this key ?

Is there a particuliar way to connect the male and female docking port when building, that would make things going wrong or right when undocking ?

He mean that after you decouple, you have 2 ships now, so you need to switch from one to the other using the [ and ] key (default key for a qwerty)

There isn't any demale/male for docking port, as long as they are facing eachother just like you did it's fine.

When you "Dock" two ship in the VAB, you don't see any undock but decouple will undock it.

You only see undock after you have docked in game.

If you don't have any specific [ and ] keys, you should remap them from the options menu, I did that.
