Updated to 0.25 and released on "add on releases" at http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/99410-0-25-Art-of-reentry?p=1527442#post1527442

1x1m heat resistant panel with space shuttle tiles, 6.5m heat shield, 3.75m hs and a 1.25m huygens style heat shield

Anything else on the horizon? Maybe other sizes or types of reentry protection?

indeed there is, working on a stabilizer for long craft, long craft tend to flip around when reentering.

and fixed a issue with the shields collision mesh, should work properly now, suggest redownloading

anyone know of a module command for the part.cfg that will ignore a percentage of the heat that it absorbs, the problem im finding with heatshields connected to pods is the shields will heat up and most of that heat will also be absorbed by the pod so your pod will end up melting, i need a thermal spacer basically.

You mentioned something about a stablizer to keep the craft facing the right way on reentry this would be great!

My problem is with all heat shields, I put it on the command pod (top) still heaving engines on because most of the time I would like to take off again but during reentry the craft flips, engines take the brunt of the heat and explode... Along with everything else once it flips... So a stabalizer would be nice or... A shield you can some how place anywhere? I'm not sure if it's possible but would be nice!

3.75m standard heat shield and the IRIS heat shield. IRIS can be opened and closed at will, leaving it open during reentry will actually destroy your craft :D. having it open reduces drag(good for initial rocket takeoff) and parts can be placed through it in the vab. minimizing needles rocket length.

also a 1x1m structural panel like the stock ones but with space shuttle tiles to protect things.

have u thought of working with the guy that makes deadly reentry? u 2 working together would make the best reentry mod and parts till they acutaly put in heat damage

havent thought about it, i could ask.
