Wonderful mod. does not work in .23 for me.

Okay. I'm away from development over the holidays but expect that I can get something out mid January or so. That update I'm also planning to convert to using the next effects system. I'll also consider additional improvements, but not sure on what.

Is there any news on an update? I've been dying to use this again.

I just got back from vacation a few hours ago, so I'll have time in the next few days to start work on it again. In addition to getting it to work with .23 (still have to figure out why it isn't working) I'm still planning on converting over to the new FX system, which might solve some graphical problems, and I have a pretty good idea of what I need to do to make it work.

New FX? Can we have proper looking exhausts that expand in width as atmospheric pressure is reduced? In vacuum the outer gas envelope of rocket exhaust flares out nearly at right angles to the edge of the nozzle.

I was just going to switch from having the effects using the old system to using the new system. My graphics development computer is on the fritz, so any new effects like that probably won't happen for a long time, at least from me.

The other news is that the use of the old effects system is what was causing the engines to not work correctly , so I've created a hotfix for that. It does remove the visual and audio effects, but at least the engines will run.

Dang, you released an update just as I was about to start combining this with StrechySRBs. :sticktongue:

Out of curiosity, would you have any objections if I were to experiment with merging functionality from this with StrechySRBs and a couple other mods?

Not at all! I had in mind to use module manager to get the advanced SRBs working with SRBs from KW Rocketry eventually (those models are way better than I could ever do), but I just haven't gotten around to it. Feel free to experiment with new combinations, just be sure that if you release any of them to the public to be aware of the licensing restrictions. I'd like to hear of any progress/success you might have.

Also feel free to PM me if there are any questions you have about how the plugin works.

I guess it's time to update progress. I wanted to make sure that the plugin could handle one part (traditional) SRBs, and to provide a module manager file for some of the more popular part packs, but it just hadn't been working until earlier today. So I'm still making progress, but it's slow going. At this rate an update may be released around .24, or within a few weeks.

This isn't really a part mod, so no parts isn't an issue (if you can read the code you can create your own .cfg pretty easily). That said I'll try to migrate over to kerbalstuff SoonTM, I don't know if I'll upload .6.1 up there or not.

Then it has the wrong tag. It should be [Plugin] and not [Part]

Incorrect. Not because it shouldn't be tagged plugin, but because it is tagged plugin. And always has been.

Sorry, I saw [Part] in the title and was mistook that for the tag. The point is the same only redirected. People see that and think there's parts in it.
