What will you do before 0.21?

Does anybody know if craft-files will still be working?

Like some, i don't really see the point in expanding my spaceprogram, just building some crafts I would like to test in .21?

Short answer: yes.

Longer answer: yes, but they might fly more 'stable' than you'd expect (good for big things, perhaps bad for small things.). Also, you need to back up your craft files to your documents or something because for some reason KSP 0.21 will ask "delete your old saves?" and if you say yes it thinks "oh well, their crafts can go too!"

Amazing news! Yes, i already the 0.20 install, in case craft files didn't work, i just rebuild them (and check how they were built the first time), i asked because last week i spend a whole day designing a working VTOL, and i just didn't want to lose it again ;)

Thank you very much!

Finish up my Laythe return mission. Just landed my rover there and the the boys are on their way soon.

I tend to stick to one mission at a time so I don't have to much going on when updates hit. Might even wait until the bug fixes are done before I download.

Don't waste your time going to Minmus. It's very easy, the body isn't very appealing to the eye and landing on the Mun is much harder with regards to propellant requirement.

I haven't gone back to Minmus in months because last time I was there, I took one look and went, "Gross. This thing looks awful. I flew all this way for that?"

I disagree as well it looks like a majestic apocalyptic candyland

Play Civ V: Brave New World.

...what? I deleted my save earlier on (too much minute iterations on my design; I went clean-slate + saved my .craft files in my "Hall of Fame"), and hadn't relaunched the game since the new ASAS/save-break was announced, so I can wait whilst standing the test of time one more turn.

I already play civ pretty frequently

I really hope I can conclude the "Mission to Jool - 'Glory Road'"...

If 0.21 hits before this weekend, I will delay the update.... Or find out how I can conserve my save... This mission NEEDS the conclusion, namely, bringing my kerbonauts back home...

I was planning my first mission out of the Kerbal system to Duna. However, with the saves now breaking I will put on hold all missions. Currently, and as ship-saves will still work) I am trying to get a 're-usable' space shuttle to work. I have one model working (no cargo hold, just a crew transport for my space station), and I am on the cusp of making a larger one with a cargohold. As the new version is larger and heavier, I have had to redesign the launch vehicle. I have gone for a design resembling the actual space-shuttle system. It works very well, but doesn't leave me with quite as much fuel as I'd like once in orbit. So I am tweaking it. That will probably take me up to the release.

I want to send kerbals to Eeloo and back. Farthest I've been is Duna. I'm skipping all other planets. I.figure if I can perform this mission then I can do anything in KSP.

Try Jool, I got to Eeloo and it's the same as going to any planet, except a longer burn and longer wait. Slowing down to match velocity with Eeloo is like circularizing at Minmus, very little is needed. Eeloo is cool but there is literally nothing there.

Jool on the other hand, you come in at around 8000m/s, need to aerobrake through it's atmosphere to slow down, and then you have 5 moons you can get to. Laythe is furthest in so easiest, and is the most interesting - if you've not been further than Duna, Laythe is definitely next! You'll need around 3000 m/s once in orbit to get there, roughly. It has a pretty sizeable atmosphere so bring parachutes.

I'm trying to complete as many Mission Controller (by nobody44) mod packs as I can - that has some elements of a campaign style mode already. Currently trying the Commercialisation of Space pack by Malkuth. Search SpacePort for Mission Controller if anyone is interested/hasn't tried this mod yet.

I've only had the game a couple of months but haven't really played much since 0.20 was released so I'm mostly just getting in some practice in with disposable missions before the new update arrives, only simple beginner type stuff really though like sending satellites / probes and maybe some Kerbals to Mun and hopefully Minmus too, I might even try my hand at docking too since I've been putting that off somewhat.

Finish making it to Eeloo is one (Been waiting and forgetting about it for 3x Kerbal years). The other is to get to Jool again. But, this tim with a craft with disposable fuel takes, welli f I choose to dispose of them as what I have added as docking ports at each end. Could wind up with a space station that has a probe for managment. Already ended all my man'ed flights due to not wanting dead Kerbals found in my ships due to possable identity crisis they might have.
