Another new fellow question.

And while I've got a zillion of them, here's just one. Is there a simple tutorial on how to set up orbits to the moons and other planets? I think I must have bumped into one here, but I'm not sure where. Also, would it be possible to auto-pilot, say from Kerbal orbit to Mun orbit? I can build the blessed rockets to get there, I just can't fly them worth a fleen!

You can get MechJeb, which is an autopilot.

However, the rule of thumb method for getting to the Mun (or Minmus). Is to wait until the Mun (or Minmus) rises above the horizon when you are in Kerbin orbit. Then, just burn prograde until your orbit intersects with the Mun's (or Minmus') SOI.

The best way to do it manually is to set a maneuver node, get the orbit to intersect the Mun or Minmus depending on where you'Re going, then dragging this maneuver node around until you get the intersect. Then you can play with it more to get the intersect you need.

Otherway, indeed, MechJeb can autopilot you to the Mun, or anywhere else in fact.

Perfect tuturial for everything you need to get started.

Mechjeb (mod) has autopilot function, but it won't fly you to the Mun. It has an autopilot launch to orbit, and it can automaticly excecute your manouver nodes, but you have to make the nodes yourself. It is pritty simple for Mun though. Just set a node anywhere, pull prograde until your projected orbit intersects with Mun's orbit, pull a little bit more, and than move the node around until you get an encounter
