U2, Muse and Birds of Tokyo.

Best thing about this is, I'm seeing the latter two in 5 days 23 hours and 10 minutes, relative to this post.

Muse - Bliss - Live from Hullabaloo '01

U2 - Surrender - Live at Red Rocks '83

Birds of Tokyo - Plans

Enjoy.

Hmm I've posted here before but my tastes have changed a little bit. I used to be in love with Metallica and listen to them non stop but now I'm getting more and more into A7X mostly because they kind of got an older thrash metal sound to them.

I'm mostly into black/death metal nowadays, with Graveworm, Enslavement Of Beauty, Agathodaimon and Omnium Gatherum making up most of my plays.

Didn't listen to the Omnium Gatherum video so I can't say if it's audio is up to scratch

I listen to mostly classic rock, metal, and European power metal. Though I do have some country and industrial. I have been getting really into Trans-Siberian Orchestra during the last month, I find them to be amazing. A list of some of my favourite bands would have to be Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Sabaton, Hammerfall, Trans-Siberian Orchestra, Kamelot, Queen, Black Sabbath, and Depeche Mode to name a few.

Thread of the month, yay \o/

Celebratory music.

First some LIGHTS, because she's perfect and reasons.

Second, something I've been listening to a lot lately. Progressively liking them more, which is suprising.

And some more LIGHTS, but acoustic/live just so everyone can appreciate how much of a fabulous singer she is :D

<-- I actually saw this live for real. I still don't understand how she sings like that while six months pregnant.

<-- that one becomes awesome near ~2mins in

I like all sorts of music and I've managed to get tickets to the last 6 Glastonbury festivals and I have a ticket for this year's festival as well, which is damn lucky and damn awesome, as it's the best place on Earth for a few days.

Well I just bought this, by Siebenburgen. They're a gothic black metal band from Gothenburg (quite a lot of good metal from there actually), Sweden. Just need a Swede to translate lyrics for me as google just doesn't do it justice :P

Depends on what I'm doing, my mood, and what I've been listening to lately. If I'm not doing anything in particular, or playing MMO type games, I'm prone to music that's fun to sing, which for me would be mostly stuff from the 70's and 80's, probably because that's what my parents were listening to on the radio. This isn't so much a list of bands as a list of songs though. Let it Be (Beatles), Piano Man (Billy Jole), Home for a Rest (Spirit of the West), Sings (5 Man Electrical Band), '39 (Queen), and Mmm Mmm Mmm (Crash Test Dummies) to name a few. Most of those groups have other songs I like singing, and there are plenty of others, but those are many of my favourites.

Other than that, I like pretty much everything from Two Steps from Hell and Streetlight Manifesto. I also listen to a lot of Electric/Dance like Basshunter, DJ Spash, and DJ Satomi. Nightcore in general. Other than that, it's mostly back to individual songs. I mean, I like a lot of stuff from say Queen or the Beatles, but for more recent music, I don't follow any artist in particular. I guess most of the songs I pick from hearing them on the radio would fall into the pop category.

But if I'm in the right mood, I am usually happy to listen to most things. The only exceptions are there is never an acceptable time for Rap or Dubstep. Country music is okay, but it can't be depressing.

You're all going to laugh at my pedestrian tastes, but for the last 4 years or so I've been a subscriber/fan of Friskyradio.

One set I heard recently that I really liked was Dynamic Illusion's "Mindfields" mix for Dec 2013.

Growing up, I was big into classical, synthesizers, etc. The first (vinyl!) album I ever bought with my own money was the original "Switched On Bach" by Walter Carlos. Later I loved stuff like prog rock and science fiction movie soundtracks, and later, a detour into the minimalists like Steve Reich, John Adams, and Philip Glass.

My favorite album from the 1980s was/is "The Pearl" by Brian Eno. My favorite album from the 1990s was "The Seduction of Claude Debussy" by Art of Noise (that band's swan song), though I also really dug Tori Amos's "Little Earthquakes" and everything by Nine Inch Nails.

And now, well, you can see how far I've fallen.
