Penguinhero
I thought of this during one of my "what to build now" sessionslets say hypothetically ksp was done and squad announced ksp 2, would you buy it? hellion13
i would buy just for the graphics update and whatever else gets updated
razark
Well, that depends on what KSP 2 is. Kind of hard to make a purchase decision based simply on adding a 2 on the end of a name.
satcharna
Questions like this one are rather pointless right now, don't you think? KSP is still in alpha, and it's got a lot of work to do before it can even consider itself a beta. I doubt Squad themselves have any plans regarding a sequel at this point, and they really shouldn't either. Wait until the game is at least release-worthy before asking things like this, it's just plain inappropriate right now.
IvanTehFennec
There needs to be a third option for "I'll wait and see what the first one turns out like". At this point, it seems like KSP2 (if there ever will be one), will be released after heat-death, so I still want to see what they cram into this game, and whether or not they get it done in the next ten years. A Fat Pokemon
I don't see how there could be a second game, its a rocket simulator really. The only thing I could see changing is things in the campaign mode, whenever that would be done, and would likely come in DLCs instead of a whole new game. You can't just slap a 2 on the end of something and call it new. So I say no.

skyace65
depends on what made it different from KSP1
Merinsan
If it was just more of the same, what would be the point? If it added a whole new dimension (perhaps literally) to the game, definitely!
Kerbface
I might not on principle, as the game is clearly not complete, what with the blanked out career mode and said-to-be-in-development resource system and all. It would make Squad appear to be money-grubbing and abusive of the trust with consumers, which currently of course they are not.

Whackjob
If god made a burrito so big even he couldn't microwave it, would you eat it?It depends on whether or not it's a good burrito. Same answer for the OP's question.
ddavis425
KSP2? It's not a series, what could a KSP2 have other than graphics/stability changes?
Whackjob
KSP2? It's not a series, what could a KSP2 have other than graphics/stability changes?Gritty reboot. The Kerbals would have care-worn facial features and detailed emo backstories. Jebediah is the overachiever he is because he never measured up in his father's eyes before he died. Bob Kerman is a multi-relapsing pickled ginger addict, and Bill Kerman is the loving brother who puts up with the abuse in the fruitless hope he can turn his brother's life around.Together, they must team up to recover Jeb's father's casket, and bury him on Duna per his wishes. It's Jeb's last hope to gain the approval from his father in death that he never did in life.Oh, and Werner Von Kerman? He's the one grabbing lady Kerbal arse and pitching out the zany one-liners. He is the KSP2's Jar Jar Binks.

Kind of hard to make a purchase decision based simply on adding a 2 on the end of a name.Well I bought Kingdom Hearts 2 without even knowing much about it except it was the sequal to kingdom hearts 1, but I don't think kingdom hearts belongs in this conversation. AntonioAJC
I wouldn't buy it. I don't care in what way the new update will break saves, just keep updating the original game to make it better! KSP 2 would be really bad IMO, the idea I mean.

spikeyhat09
what could they possibly add to KSP that would warrant an entire sequel rather than an update? Edited July 20, 2013 by spikeyhat09
