Starting Over

Recommended Posts

Okay. I'm not alone. Others are in the same boat.

I'm starting over from scratch after the latest release.

I can live with that, as what I had established wasn't all THAT earth, err, Mun shattering to begin with.

I just need to know....is this going to be a regular feature of future releases as they bring the game from testing to full release?

I only ask since I don't want to go all crazy rebuilding a Mun base etc only to find out that just as I'm getting things where I want them to be, they all go "poof" again.

From what I remember, Squad have said that they will attempt to lump all save-breaking changes into a single update, to prevent every update from breaking saves. However, saves will probably be broken again multiple times in the future, until development is complete.

Saves are mostly fixed during the update process. Crafts may fly differently due to changes in the specs of SAS controllers. Landed probes, ships, and bases, may not be usable. My landed Mun probe now floats over a huge crater, falls, and crashes before I can activate SAS and thrusters, and tumbles to the bottom before being completely destroyed.

Just curious would terminating all landed vessels on a body that is going to be changed mitigate that problem?
