How to move camera focus

Recommended Posts

So I've playing KSP for over a year now and have become aware through HOCgaming and The Solar Gamer's videos that you can pan the camera around while controlling your spaceship (and presumably in the VAB too). Can anyone tell me how to do this?

Note: I'm taking about being able to move the camera focus like you can in the SPH. (when you hold down RBM and drag the camera around)

Well, I'm not quite sure I understand what you're asking for so I'll throw a bunch of possiblities out hoping one will cover the question.

RMB-dragging works in the staging view as well as VAB/SPH.

Scroll wheel works to zoom in/out, as noted.

With stock key-binding, "v" switches between different camera modes. (Auto, Free, and Chase)

Again with stock key-binding, "c" toggles between craft view and IVA view for crewed vessels.

If none of those options are what you were looking for, the official KSP wiki has a full list of standard controls: http://wiki.kerbalspaceprogram.com/wiki/Controls

Guys, he's talking about sliding the camera focus off the VAB's centerline, like you can do in the SPH with the help of some buttons (shift and right mouse I believe). It doesn't seem to work in the VAB :P

Yeah that's what I meant. Sorry if I wasn't clear enough. :(
