Marknate24
I know that steam has a Linux version of KSP, so would the raspberry pi b
AlternNocturn
No. KSP calculates physics on the CPU and the Raspberry Pi doesn't have nearly the computing power.
Rockhem
If you cluster some raspberry pi's togehter you should be able to do it.

Rockhem
Yeah i remember seeing someone run truly intense games that my computer barely scrapes along on a raspberry pi cluster.

Marknate24
I know that Unity has been ported to ARM but has KSP?I don't know, if steam is able to run then ksp should be up for download.
Marknate24
You can do that!?! O_Ohttp://www.southampton.ac.uk/mediacentre/features/raspberry_pi_supercomputer.shtmlThis guy combined 64 rpis
skykooler
I know that Unity has been ported to ARM but has KSP?No. KSP would need at the very least a recompile to run on ARM, and only Squad could do that. Also, a Raspberry Pi doesn't have nearly enough CPU power, and clustering them wouldn't help at all because KSP still can't use multiple cores. lazarus1024
Exactly, you can't cluster as KSP can't multithread. So...no, you couldn't. Even if you recompiled for ARM I doubt it would run. We are talking something with less compute power than my phone...which has roughly 1/5th the compute power of my laptop. I think it would crash and burn BADLY. Okay...technically it might actually be able to run, but I doubt you'd manage more than maybe 2-3FPS even with something like a 3 part rocket. Van Disaster
RPI is roughly equivalent to a 300Mhz Pentium, I think. Seems unlikely...Would be fun if you could run a ship on one & cluster a bunch, use a more powerful box for a graphical head.
JakeGrey
RPI is roughly equivalent to a 300Mhz Pentium, I think. With a GPU roughly equivalent to an Xbox plugged into it, yeah. I'm pretty sure an RPi could handle the graphics side, but the physics calcs? Well, maybe once we're in the beta phase and Squad are in a position to do some systematic optimisation. Danerdygeek
You could if you used multiple pi's and linked them up to a controller unit (don't actually know what they are called), It's basically a not so super super computer!
MK3424
A raspberry Pi 2 might be powerfull enough....

KSP wouldn't run properly on a phone, and a Raspberry Pi (2) doesn't even come close to that. Edited January 17, 2016 by NeMeSiS

Heh, i only read the last post, didn't notice that the others where from ages ago. Also, ive no idea what point 1 is supposed to mean.
Red Iron Crown
Fairly epic necro here, probably better to start a new thread.
