Lost kerbals in astronaut complex show cause of death

I crashed a 12 kerbal rocket into the sun. I went back to the astronaut complex and they were shown as missing in action. I think their cause of death should be shown: for instance "crashed into sun" or "splashed down too hard on Eve" or "devoured by kraken on Jool". This would make it easier for players to remember if their big ship to Eeloo blew up on launch. Maybe this should be added in 0.21.2 or.0.22.0.

At least, kerbals whose flights were ended through tracking station should just say missing..

Yeah, I'd like to remember just how they died.

I'd rather it showed 'killed in action'. (except for Jeb, Bob and Bill, of course. They should always be 'Missing in action'). If it showed how they died in maybe mouseover text or underneath the KIA tag, so much the better.

You can switch to permadeath by changing the

DIFFICULTY
		{
			MissingCrewsRespawn = True
		}

line in the persistent.sfs file.

On topic, this sounds like a pretty good idea. It already shows that sort of thing in the flight log, I figure it aught to say in the astronaut complex too.

It is really annoying how there are only 11 Sad Kerbal Faces here, when he killed twelve. I'll have to add another.

On topic again, I agree with this idea, along with possibly more information about Kerbals in the assigned category.

Does anyone know if they plan on having a permanent list of this data in career mode (Kerbal Training Center?)? Status of life (IE: "..crushed by rover.." or "On Duty"), total flights (missions), total flight time (mission time), etc
