Faster Quitting

Currently exiting out of KSP from being in a flight requires six actions and waiting through multiple load screens. I'd like it if there were an option to save and quit from the <esc> menu anywhere, preferably without a confirmation box.

You're playing this at work, aren't you? ALT + F4 will save your job but not your game.

In seriousness, I agree, it'd be nice to quit back to the desktop much faster than the current process.

I got incredibly frustrated with Assassin's Creed, which took over a minute to quit, and now I can't help judging every game I play based on how long it takes to quit.

A quick F5 to save and then alt-F4 to quit ,like mentioned above, should work just fine

Totally agree here. I'm sure UI refinement is a low-priority right now, but yeah, this should be a thing at some point.

Even better, kill the process with task manager. Bring up task manger with ctrl-alt-del before starting, and when your boss comes along, f-5 swap to task manager and kill the process. Usually alt f-4 causes a little lag before the window actually closes

Or, just alt-tab away to the last window you visited. Hiding taskbar is optional.

Is there a way to be certain how long it takes for the save to complete before you hit alt-F4? Killing the program in mid-save would have horrible consequences.
