Addons for 0.21 that add containers and rockets and more

Hi

As far as I know , KW rocketery and Nova have stoped having support for 0.21.

Are there any addons or alternatives to this? I do sure miss 3.75m stages.

Things I'm also missing : KAS (the one with the winches) and a few others which I realized I started relying upon so much, and now they seem to be gone (forever?).

If you could help I'd appreciate.

What is wrong with KW? There no any fuel tanks or engines related changes in the last ksp update and KW didn't use any plugins, why do you think it need any upates to work?

New KAS is in the development currently and will be released "soon" (I think in the end of this month)

Yes, confirmed. KW works just fine in 0.21

Why do people not even TRY parts packs and instead just assume that 'it needs to be updated'?

Look it's true that when KSP updates that there's no guarantee that your favorite mod will still work.

However, the reverse is also true. When KSP updates there's no guarantee that your favorite mod WON'T work.

Also, Kerbal Attachment System (KAS) does work in 0.21 (as is, right now)

Fustek has awesome station modules.

Alchemy Technologies has several kewl mods, one is Small Engines and RCS

Theres DSM (Deep Space Mission) Pack that has lots of stuff

JARFR and THSS mods have a whole structural system, and many contain fuel tanks, and a couple have storage "closets".

HexCans has all different sized hex-shaped cans for fuel and storage.

KSPX has lots of fuel tanks and stuff.

Renewable Bio-Fuel mod has, well, different modules for "growing" fuel

Space Junk Bay has a couple different sized containers that open and close that you can store stuff in.

UDKLD Large Structural Components has lots of interesting station modules.

Wayland Corp. 2.5m Sliding Cargo Bay and Wayland Corp. Space Station Core Pack v1.2, pretty self explanatory

AIES Aerospace, very similar to KW Rocketry and NovaPunch.

Yes, I agree, there are MANY older mods that still work OK with 0.21. I put together a spreadsheet of over 130 mods that all seem to work with 0.21...Probably half were made for 0.20, and even a bunch for 0.18 that still work ok.

Of course when 0.22 comes out, that may change, as I hear there will be MANY changes in THAT update...

This "people" has tried , and the game lagged like hell therefore , and the fact that it states clearly 0.20 in the name, led me to believe the addon didn't have support for the new 0.21 version

only thing there possible to update in KW because of 0.21 is this title string, because all other is the same. I hope it will help you.

If the game lags because of adding a heavy parts mod, go straight to the VAB or SPH when starting the game, and go thru all the parts and see if there are any you wont be using....If so, open up the mod folder while leaving KSP open...Then find the folder with the part you dont want, and delete it.

If you can't figure out exactly which folder is for which part, you can find out by opening the part.cfg in a folder, and not far down you should see the part title. That is what displays in the VAB/SPH. (This can be quite time consuming, hence why I was ecstatic when MacTee implemented some great new features in KSP Mod Admin, which simplify and make this part SOOO much easier and quicker.)

Do this for all parts you dont want. When you're done trimming out parts, quit KSP, then restart it...It will now have less parts to load.

I do this with the B9 mod...I trim out about 2/3rds of it, since I'm not in an aeronautics/SSTO phase of the game yet, but B9 DOES have other parts I very much want.

Oh, and you can also go into the Squad folder and do the same, if there are stock parts you never use. The Squad folder seems to be really bloated as far as file sizes go. If you never use the IVA views, you can delete the Props and Spaces folders, and trim your Gamedata folder by around 270MB right there.

Or, if you want an easier way to trim parts mods, you could give KSP Mod Admin a try. It makes installing/uninstalling and trimming out parts you dont want, very easy.
