Kerbal Ejection seats

Recommended Posts

How cool would that be?! They would help alot of people save their Kerbals as well. Also sorry I think looking back this could be under the more parts thread.

Personally I feel it would be better to make ejector seats only for MK-1/MK2/MK3 cockpits, and only allow it to be used in atmosphere. The ejector-seat would also preclude the kerbals getting back inside. For space capsules, you'll need to think up something on your own. Possibly also only make it safe to use below a certain speed.

Would make sense for ejection seats when tweakables are added.

Tweak each seat to RCSPack or Ejectionseat. Where Ejectionseat replaces RCSPack with a small solid rocket (for zero-zero ejects, with thrust vectoring), and a Kerbal Parachute.

Now that I think about it, the Kerbals could ALWAYS be in ejection seats in-atmosphere. And the EVA could always wear the RCSPack. Ejection seats are a one-way abort anyhow.

I think you should be able to use them everywhere:being in vacuum don't prevent you of firing rockets.

Of course, it might not be a good idea, but you should be able to do it anyway.
