Kerbal Attribute Influence on Science

Probably not going to be added...but I decided to share the idea anyway.

What if the stupidity of kerbals affected the amount of science points they generate on crew and EVA reports? The less stupidity a kerbal has, the more science points are generated.

What do you guys think?

I agree with this. It would be nice to see some progression in individual kerbal's abilities as they learn from being on flights. The investment in crew members would add a greater desire for their safe recovery.

I like that idea. To expand on it science points could also be used to train Kerbals reducing their stupidity.

If Kerbals' stupidity doesn't change, you either need to clump up your list of available Kerbals (it causes problems) or kill the stupid ones, which causes the lost list to clump up. Either way it's clumping of the lists, and one option is tedious and in-game immoral.

I'd like to see them become smarter after they finish a defined mission.

Some mods already have this feature. KSP Interstellar for example. Kerbals with low stupidity placed in Science Lab generate science points faster. It's very cool and adds incentive to actually pay attention to which Kerbals are recruited, and which are used for what. In my case stupid ones end as test pilots on most dangerous missions

I like the idea of them getting smarter. It kind of adds a nice distinction between "science" kerbals and regular pilots.

Having them get smarter would also result in an incentive to recover their kerbals...I don't think I have EVER done a successful return to kerbin trip from any body. It was all base building missions that eventually got decommissioned and forgotten.
