While I have not attempted it myself, I would strongly advise you build your own computer. From what I have heard, it\'s about as difficult as lego and will save you a huge amount of money. If you do choose this route, I have a good guide on choosing the parts for your computer, it may be a little out-of-date, but should explain things quite well.

I would advise building your own. If you want a computer to play all of the new games coming out at the best quality then you would be looking at around about 1400-2800 dollars out of pocket to build one. An alienware (overpriced dell gaming computer) will set you back $5600!!!!

Where did you get those numbers from, you could probably play 90% of modern games at ultra for about $800.

I\'ll put my build, it works just fine for me.

OS: Windows 7

CPU: AMD Phenom X4 9750

RAM: 4 GB of DDR2, Patriot brand (Unsure of exact product)

Motherboard: MSI 785GTM-E45

Graphics: 512MB GeForce GT 220

Hard Disk: 488GB Seagate ST3500413AS

Optical Drive: ASUS DRW-22B2S

I\'ve probably spent no more then 450 USD on it entirely. It helps that I got everything except the graphics card and optical drive in a kit on sale from TigerDirect. Rebates are a wonderful thing.

I guess we can learn alot form this.

Anything except a Mac. xD

Friend has a Mac. Still does. One day it broke down and he knew what the problem was about 20 min after it broke down. The repairers took 2 months to figure out the problem and fix it.

Also DON\'T buy a dell. I got one as a present and it breaks down every 3-4 months. The chargers are also crappy.

I didn\'t shut up did I.
