Damn Goo...

Recommended Posts

soo... if you are only taking one goo canister with you (e.g. sending a probe to a planet) .. how are you balancing out your craft?

is there anything useful to stick to the other side? sensors and batteries are too light..

I just add a reaction wheel system. One wheels system is more than enough to deal with slight imbalances such as only having one goo.

Before I get that though... I take 2... but if you have batteries then you should already have reaction wheels so...

i was able to balance it out early on in the campaign with a girder piece and a stayputnik, looked kinda funky, but it served it's purpose, also handy for when you want to leavy a kerb on a different planed and come back for him later (I will go back for Jeb, just later)

When I sent up my Gooyager 1 probe off into deep space, I placed the goo precisely on top of a Stayputnik.

It's tricky to put things exactly on top of a Stayputnik, but if you turn symmetry to 4 and looks straight down, when you move them towards the centre the 4 goos will eventually overlap exactly, you then turn symmetry back down to 1, place the goo and it will be exactly on top. It looks pretty cool like that too.
