Jool, landing MIGHT be possible...

So I read an old thread from a week ago about a pyrimad at the muns North Pole, and if the mun has it, then isn't it possible that the other planets/moons have a pyrimad at their north poles?

If Jool has one on its "surface" that sticks up above the point that ships get destroyed, couldn't it theoretically make landing possible? You'd probably have to get it dead on with not a single inch off, but couldn't it be possible?

I have landed on Jool with Jeb back in 0.20 where it had an sort of surface. In 0.21 and 0.22 it don't have an surface anymore, Jool becomes transparent below 4000 meter anything reaching -500 meter blows up. But its an interesting idea with an older version of the game.

Go for it and take some screenshots :)

If there is a buggy pyramid on Jool, it will be very hard to land on it without mod help. Jool is huge and has a thick atmosphere and intensive gravity well. Someone with MechJeb should try this ASAP.

The main problem is if the pyrimad isn't at either pole and is somewhere else, it will be a pain in the engine to locate it.

And setting the landing cords to 90* north will probably cause mechjeb to commit suicide, especially on Jool...

We're talking about buggy pole pyramids that are made by errors in calculating terrain at high lattitudes. That's their definition.

I'm not sure, but I think he's saying they fixed the bug where you COULD land on Jool. :)

Theres flavor text ingame if you land on jool, I imagine if you bring your velocity to 0 while hovering at 0 meters above jool. You'd get them. I might test this once a Jool window opens for me.

This thread is quite old. Please consider starting a new thread rather than reviving this one.
