Ahh right, I've never come across this before, I only ever watch HOCGaming and Scott Manley for KSP video's and I haven't seen it from them.

Could you post a screenshot of where it is but zoomed out more so I can go there myself? Ive been searching for days. Pleeeeaaase

Is that 2nd to last photo not zoomed out enough? I guess I could return there on my KSP. I've already left that place but it should be pretty easy to find again.

Those searching should look up the real Apollo 11 landing coordinates, they match the easter egg on the Mun.

What? There's some type of mapping coordinate system in game you can use to tell your position in the universe? Oh wait, you're running a mod, aren't you?!

Nah, I think you can get it from the map or the tracking station.

Funny, I haven't scoured Mun for this yet but I've tried to find its general location on the webs... This is the only picture I've seen that clearly shows it in a zoomed out view... Thank you OP and rocketblam for the necro.

When (not if) you get tired of of wandering aimlessly in hopes of stumbling across these Easter eggs scattered about the universe, there's a few mods I recommend.

1) ISA Mapsat is a little outdated and has lost some love from it's author but does still work. I know there are some others attempting a similar mod with biomes added, but I have yet to try them. If you want it to work in career mode you will need to tweek some code, this article explains how. Don't let it scare you, it's quite easy to do. This mod will allow you to scan a planet (with a properly equipped vessel) and will reveal "rough" locations for anomalies. The map will give you coordinates of these locations, but unfortunately there is no visual in your map view so without a means to locate coordinates on a planet, it's of no use to you to know the coordinates.

2) As my sarcasm machine was turned up high a few posts ago, there really is no "stock" tools to allow you to find your position in the universe, at least not until AFTER you've landed. But even then, it's basically useless data as the average player can't do anything with the coordinates as you have nothing to use it with. You can't easily tell which way is up or North from your current position, if you want to go to coordinates X,Y on planet Z it's a total shot in the dark as there's no HUD to guide you that I've found. I'm hopeful that one day the dev's will see the error in their ways and finally install some "basic" navigation tools as part of the core program. Until then, you'll need a mod to fill this gap in utilities, of which I recommend Mechjeb, I typically use the latest build in development which you can find here. Equipping your ship with MJ will allow you to enter landing coordinates which will actually throw a big red X on the planet of where that site is. Finally, a visual tool that will allow you to see a particular location you can actually see and fly/drive to while in map mode. MJ has many other features, such as autopilot, but at least you're free to fly as you please with the luxury of basic navigational tools available to you as well as several advanced ones.

Good luck on your Easter egg hunts, and don't forget to bring your camera!
