Retrievable Boosters Question

Hi All,

Do you know if it is possible to build boosters that are retrievable after separation?

If I add parachutes to my stage 1 solid boosters, the parachutes appear to deploy at separation, but they are not shown as debris in the tracking centre for retrieval.

Within the atmosphere, debris is deleted when it is more than 2.5km away from the active craft. There are mods that can change this, or so I'm told.

Yes, any moving object farther than 2.5km in the atmosphere will be deleted. However, you can change that with the Lazor System or THIS mod.

All I want is auto-retrieval instead of deletion. Though right now it doesn't matter (unless you put science on your SRBs) when money is important I'll feel like I'm wasting some.

I'm sure that when money is added to the game as a significant gameplay element, there will be something to deal with this situation. For now, since it makes no difference in-game, just imagine that the SRB's are recovered successfully after they go down with chutes.
