Maybe this isn't the best place to ask considering I'm sure you're all big fans of RealChute, but I'd prefer not to clutter my VAB parts list if I don't feel like I need to.

It's only 3 or 4 more parts, it actually declutters your VAB by adding its own category and moving stock chutes there too. You could conceivably declutter it more by removing the stock chutes entirely. And it certainly declutters your craft since you can get exactly the right amount of chute for it in the minimum number and size of parts.

I'm not sure what you mean by not balanced with stock as they were specifically balanced with stock.

Hi guys, I noticed a bug recently where I cannot exceed ~40m/s speed at launch while having RealChute. I have a set of stock MK2 radial chutes on the sides and it appears to cause excessive drag. If I remove the chutes my rocket flies just fine, if I keep the chutes but remove RealChute my rocket also flies fine. Has anyone else noticed this?

A possible old bug has reared its ugly head. Camera wonkiness past 6000 meters. The quick and dirty of it is that I remembered there was some issues related to Real Chute and camera losing focus in the past, so I deleted the mod and tried the exact same launch. No camera issues. I know this is a less than ideal bug report, but I'm kind of limited on time at the moment. Just wanted to know if anyone else has had the issue as well. Later tonight after work, I'll do more testing. Just consider this a quick heads up.

Define wonkiness. 1.0 adds camera movement and shake at moderate to high acceleration.

I have had the same problem. Seems to happen right around 6300m. It also seems that if this happens and you throttle all the way up you seem to lose control of the craft and it flies apart. Not sure if this is Realchute or some interaction with another mod or the situation. Anyone else having that problem?

Not sure if this is connected, but the realchute icon is breeding on the ingame toolbar... it's crowding out the science/rep/money display. pics may follow.

At the risk of being told I'm not the mod author and to stop being pretentious - he knows: You really should read the last few pages of a thread. Bugging a mod author with statements about an issue he's aware of and pretty much stated he would already be fixing, is just going to make him as neurotic as his avatar looks :D And you don't want to make someone who is modding the game for free, and sharing with you for no real benefit of his own, to feel neurotic. Otherwise - no more mod for you!

Realchute is not the only mod with this issue, I am getting the same with infernal robotics as well.

Okay guys, this is the last time that I'll repeat all of this:

  1. I'm aware of the icons breeding. I have a fix. Be patient.
  2. Stock chutes do NOT work currently with RealChute. This comes from a persistence problem I forgot to address with manager. This is fixed, I just need to finalize everything. This applies to *any* chute that is not a RealChute part.
  3. The Engineer's Report is not identify RealChute as Parachutes because it doesn't know they are. And telling it they are is not as easy as you think it would be. Deal without for now, I'll be adding this as a feature for 2.0
  4. Start reading up before reporting, and please don't just lealve a "X doesn't work, why?". If I know I'm fixing it, if I don't know, this is not gonna help me figure it out.

Be patient please.
