Starting to take shape, but still more to do!

Click on the image for a clearer view, the preview is really blurry! D:

Also, Mercury & Gemini all brought to you by Frizzank (FASA). Same with Explorer 1! I'll review the essentials list once i'm done with the tree.

As a Russian I'm disappointed not to see Vostok-Voshod-Soyuz missions, not to mention lack of Salyuts, but instead only a pathetic series of American "me too" missions...

P.S. Now you see that this project would never be completed if you keep catering to everyone's request? :) You need to decide where to stop, as hard as it could be - and I can tell you from my own experience that I keep delaying ECLSS 2.0 release by adding more and more features into it, and the rationale is always the same - "but it's so cool!!!" :)

P.P.S. the first sentence is a joke for those who didn't get it, only to demostrate my point above in P.S..

Haha! :D

They'll be brought into the fold, don't you worry. I was just building up to the appolo mission. But where possible I keep both in the mix. :) I could rename the tech line 'manned orbital projects'.

No disrimination!!! D:

Thanks for the feedback Asmi!

Thanks for the tech tree MedievalNerd! It's really breathing life into an otherwise dull career mode for me. I eagerly await Milestone 19.

Thanks must go to the countless awesome modders who allow me to build this kickbutt tree!

I'll start making development videos for RPL. That way you'll be able to hear me ramble and get more insight into the development progress. :)

EDIT: As I've stated before, if you' haven't gone and given these awesome guys & gals some rep. Please do so! Show them we love their work. Press that little star on the OP of their mods, do it! :D <3

Any chance of improving the variable-width stretchytanks in the next update?

I find it absolutely bizarre that while I have 2.5m tanks (stretchy 2500s) and 2m SRBs (courtesy KW) my conic LF stretchy and stretchySRB are stuck at 0.625m diameter and smaller.

This is with the absolute basic rocketry and srb unlocks for 50 science.

Feel free to direct me to another thread if this criticism is misplaced, I have very little understanding of how all the RO mods and modders interact.

Yes, that is meant to be addressed! All sized fairings will be available on start. :) And I'll look into the tech implementation for strechy tank unlocks.

I think I can address this issue if I understand what you meant.

Thanks for the feedback!

I pointed that in in one of these threads a week or four ago, basically stretchySRB decides available widths based on tech node names but those don't match the ones in RPL. Hopefully the imminent update (on the edge of my seat here) includes a tweak for it, but even if it doesn't it's pretty simple to edit the offending config file.

May be someone here could help me. I have the complete RPL pack installed with RSS, ROv ...

But something is not working for me and I don't understand why : It is the scale of the Explorer engine wich is not the same as other parts of the shuttle, and the fuel inside the main tank that I can't change with MFT and match with the engine.

So I would like to change it so I will have a well scaled and functionnal Explorer shuttle for the MS 19 of RPL !

For me FASA already has just way too many parts with it, unless I was going to have a separate install for historical craft only. Its like the B9 pack, while I like what they've done with it it makes actually running the game with other mods a nightmare.

kiko1004: frizzank is releasing FASA parts faster than we can realism-ize them. Also I'm pretty sure that's not even the A7 engine used on Jupiter C/ Juno I, but the A-4 used on the V-2.

Thank you and yes you are right, it was the wrong engine for this Jupiter C shuttle, there is also the same problem with the A7 engine (or may be the fuel tank).

I understand that ROv is still in progress so we will wait, even with RPL MS 19 out.

I just noticed on the latest picture "...sub orbital slow space tests." ?

Is that a misspelling? If yes, what did I win? :D

You just had to go read the little piece of text nearly out of frame didn't you!? :P

Yes, that's a typo. Those description I sometimes write on the fly while i'm making the tree, so it's not always accurate or well written. lol

This thread is quite old. Please consider starting a new thread rather than reviving this one.
