Everything was working fine and then suddenly the game crashed. When I reloaded the toolbar was gone and I can't figure out how to get it back. I tried deleting the toolbar folder and reinstalling the newest one but still doesn't work.

EDIT: Luckily I had a backup copy of gamedata folder from a couple days ago when I added some new mods. I did a comparison and it seems the toolbar-settings.dat file got cleared so it was empty. I copied over the old backup file and the toolbar is back.

This happened to me as well, although in my case I strongly suspect the culprit being that I ran out of disk space while KSP was running, causing Toolbar to fail a write and nuke the file.

Just like with any other KSP plugin. Take everything that's inside GameData\ and put it into your KSP installation's GameData\ folder.

You can also remove your game saves folder and do a clean install. Then put your game saves back in saves folder. Install mods as desired with clean copy of KSP. This only works if the update isn't a game breaker of course. And you need to reinstall all of your mods you had before but that's part of the point.

What am I supposed to do when the toolbar doesn't show in 1.7.6 or 1.7.7. Have you not seen the last page of this forum? (93)

I'm not sure about your specific problem. I did what I stated above and am not having a problem. It might be a good idea to send a copy of your toolbar file to blizzy to figure it out.

The button disappeared behind the GUI of the game and I couldn't find it, so I had to reset all of my settings and set them back up. That' what I meant, was a bit frustrated yesterday and not clear at all, I admit that, sorry.

But it is a big inconvenience to have to set up your buttons again and especially if you have a few folders/toolbars.

That's up to the mod authors. It's up to TriggerAu and Majiir to make their mods work with either or both of the toolbars. I believe KAC has the option to use either one – if that's not working, you'll need to ask TriggerAu for help.

Sorry to sound like a idiot, and I'm sure this has been asked before, but the stock toolbar still takes precedence over the mod toolbar.

KAC and Kethane are still on the stock toolbar for me.

If you haven't looked in the settings for KAC, do that to find the option to switch from stock toolbar to blizzy's. If that's not working for you, post a bug report over in the KAC thread.

Kethane is stock toolbar only as of the latest update

i have a little problem with the toolbar. my icons are very blurry. so i cant see what my icons are for. is there anyone who can help me??? thanks

go to KSP settings and set Texture Resolution to Full Res i believe thats the problem

Do you use ATM? If so, go into GameData/BoulderCo/ActiveTextureManagerConfigs, open 000_Toolbar.cfg, and replace its contents with this:

ACTIVE_TEXTURE_MANAGER_CONFIG
{
folder = 000_Toolbar
enabled = false
}

Got a weird issue with one of my 0.25 install: no main button displayed at all in every game scene, and TB create a new entry under MAINMENU, with a new id, in its settings file (x=y=300 w=250 h=0,...) every time KSP is closed.

win 7, KSP 0.25.642 windowed mode (1024x768 or 128x960) both opengl or dx mode.

EDIT: I got the same issue also on another 0.25 install (also windowed) :huh:

Looks like I'm not the only one to have the issue, blizzy78, any advice ?

1.7.6 version works (in fact, just the notice on update, no other button showed up, dismiss update => toolbar vanish).

No error in log.

(medsouz assume it's harmless in Kerbal Konstructs, the GUI error itself, as we got the same kind of error in one case).

EDIT2: I've tried a clean new install of the 0.25 straight from the zip archive, no update, nothing, default settings (windowed, if relevant), add TB 1.7.7, start a new sandbox game with all default too, no toolbar button anywhere, nothing in log, toolbar, compat. checker seems to be ok (or at least don't complain about anything), sh object instanciated, settings file created with some, looking good, content.

Sorry if this has been asked before, but is there a "light" version/config option that doesn't provide all those annoying config options and simply displays all mod icons, similarily to what the older versions used to do?

Do you mean configuration options for the mods themselves? Or for the toolbar? More mods have been giving options to customise the way you use them. If you don't want the option to, you can hide the button.

gavinZac: I'm talking about the toolbar's options. Every time I install a new mod, I need to manually enable it in the toolbar, in every single scene... in the process ignoring all of those other config options that surely are useful to some people, but which I personally will never need...

I'd just prefer if the Toolbar displayed all mods that want to be displayed, allowed me to move it whereever I wanted it, and be done with it.
