Christmas gift (new mun/planet)?

Maybe Duna getting a second mun(Deimos analogue?). Although we don't need another Minmus.

But what we could enjoy is a Metis analogue. Basically another captured asteroid(which would be dark gray this time) that orbits Jool in a REALLY short distance(it would cover ~72% of the sky). It is tidally locked to Jool. It has a minuscule gravity and sphere of influence, so it will not often botch your Joolian aerobrake, but will still be a pain to get to(good luck not aerobraking at Jool while trying to reach it). If you thought Laythe was ridiculously close to Jool, this is for you.

This is exactly what I was gonna say! If we got this moon for christmas I would be so happy! :).

EDIT: (another guy suggested a deimos analogue) A small asteroid moon on a subsynchronous (below ike) orbit around duna named Mike

In reality I'm up for almost anything. More parts, better use for existing ones like the radial engine body, or Mobile Processing Lab. Who knows? might get lucky and receive another celestial body.

Problem is Barycenters aren't supported by KSP, and Eeloo will eventually be moved to take the spot of Enceladus in the real solar system: around the Saturn Analog.

Sorry guys, not to be the Grinch here, but it doesn't seem likely. Eeloo came out in the 0.18.2 patch which was the 2nd major bugfix patch for 0.18 (december 1st) which added Docking, Maneuver nodes, the new UI, and tons of parts. It was a huge patch and needed a lot of tweaking.

So it was not only a 'holiday gift' but it was a reward for a somewhat rough month of buggy gameplay.

Since then, the testing regime has changed so we're far less likely to need official bug fix patches. They also stated that more expansion of the solar system would have to wait until the game was closer to being finished and they could really optimize things, because adding more planets can affect performance. (They have since changed some asset loading methods, so it may be less an issue, but we have heard nothing official about it)

So getting a new patch tested and released 3 days before Christmas doesn't seem likely. I'd rather then get a nice break with their families over the holidays and come back in January happy, well fed and ready to create more awesomeness.

While this is true, the last patch was a large optimization pass with performance increases geared towards the lower end of the player base... exactly the people you'd need to pull up to speed before expanding the solar system. They also did some general planetary load improvements I believe... which would once again lend towards system expansion...

I just want new planets though : /

Why not give Laythe a small moon, that orbits just outside the atmosphere, and if you had too high of an orbit on it, you'd get captured by Laythe's atmosphere.

Because with two-body physics in place, that gets really messy really fast. Use HyperEdit to put Gilly extremely close to Kerbin if you want a quick look at why it's a bad idea.
