HotRockets! Particle FX Replacement + Tutorial

Any chance of this getting a patch to be compatible with real-plume (as in the plugin, I like this mod's effects more).

No. Realplume already uses HotRockets art assets for the majority of its effects. HotRockets configs are my version of improved effects for stock engines, and there will not be any updates apart from those that provide compatibility with new versions of the stock game.

Is there any particular reason why this and RealPlume don't play nice together?

They are trying to do the same thing and weren't initially made to be compatible, so they don't try to avoid conflicting. Pretty simple really.

i have added the mod in mid - career game but someone said that it's fine

It has nothing to do with, when you added the mod. There is something wrong with *.cfg, usually is launch_hotrockets.cfg,but it has different pattern. So i don't know if this happends on all engines or just specific ones.

I really hate to sound like a jerk, but nobody should be using Hot Rockets anymore, seeing as how RealPlume has a very active community (and an active author), has much more impressive-looking effects, works with a far wider array of engines (both stock and those included in a mod), and it just works. So, for the sake of your eyes and your brain, switch to and stay with RealPlume; you'll be glad you did!

I'm posting here to educate those who may not know about RealPlume. And I couldn't really understand what you're trying to say (I'm assuming English isn't your first language), but from what I gathered, you're saying that you like Hot Rockets more than RealPlume because it has the same (or better) FX than RealPlume. If that is what you're saying, then that makes me assume that you've never used RealPlume, seeing as how RealPlume has much more FX to offer than Hot Rockets ever has. I'm just trying to be a decent person and inform and educate everybody about the better and more active mod.

Well, let me say, that you're not educating anyone, what you're doing is heresy.Every single FX used by RealPlume were made by awesome author of Hot Rockets!(Long story short,no Hot Rockets=no RealPlume.)

Now let's calm down,because i don't want to start a fight here.

The greatest difference between this two is how *.cfg is formatted and you are really limited by the prewritten effects of RealPlume, also both are dependent off smokescreen and MM.I personally like this format more than RealPlume one, simply because i can customize the effect for each engine separately, and in the way i want.

Thank you for the informative reasoning behind your appreciation for Hot Rockets over RealPlume. I'll admit that I never had to mess with the configs in RealPlume (I tried to in Hot Rockets, though I found them confusing as I was unable to find a guide that fluently explains the architecture and meaning of the Hot Rockets config). And is it true that RealPlume is built off of Hot Rockets? Not to sound argumentative, but I find this difficult to believe.
