Sorry I was camping in the snow all of today and yesterday. I just got back.

Whoever is up for launch will need to lower the core before any docking procedures. Bring it to 50k from its current 307k ish orbit.

idk who is currently launching. It looks like Baberbot had too much hw and the 24 hour period is up? Does that mean Deathsoul goes?

Ack! No, Avera9eJoe got the core to 300k orbit (he started before he was supposed to, and mis-interpreted).

Someone needs to lower it to 50k, then whoever's next goes. If baberbot is available, he does it, if not , Dealthsoul097 does it.

To speed this up, I've just moved the station myself (didn't have a capable computer yesterday). New persistance is here.

That means baberbot has 24 hours from this post's timestamp to launch the module. If he says he can't, then it moves on to Deathsoul097, ect. That will also happen if no response in 24 hours.

Okay, baberbot messaged me that he's too busy. Deathsoul097 is now launching Docking Arm, and has 24 hours.

That means the launch order is as follows:

  • Docking Arm 1: Deathsoul097
  • Docking Arm 2: Monopropellant
  • Fuel Tank 1: Sirine
  • Fuel Tank 2: baberbot

Sooner that station is up, the sooner the infrastructure for ground operations are available, though I imagine it would be interesting to see how well a base functions without a station for support (perhaps an experiment is in order . . .).

Perhaps I should make Inquiry base a stand alone Minmus base? It'd be interesting moving the segments in low gravity but it could work. It also has a good name for a crazy project like that.

It's entirely up to you. It won't be long before we have some intensive kerbin infrastructure so I'll let if be your choice.

Well, seems like Deathsoul097 couldn't complete it either. I gave him a bit of lee-way, but I think it's been a good amount of time. Monopropellant is now taking over the launch. Launch order is now as follows:

  • Docking Arm 1: Monopropellant
  • Docking Arm 2: Sirine
  • Fuel Tank 1: baberbot (or Captain Sierra)
  • Fuel Tank 2: Deathsoul097

I've decided as an of topic project to make a cinematic on a 2 man mission to Dres. I want a better program then windows movie maker though because it tends to delete half my videos and doesn't play MP4s without a 50% chance of deleting them or refusing to play them. Anyone has a suggestion?

Don't worry I'll keep in touch. It won't interfere with K^3. I'm thinking of launching inquiry base right after Olympia station although I don't think other people would be launching.

Wait, like off-topic as in not relating to K3 in any way, and in a different save file? Right now we aren't ready to go interplanetary in K3 if thats what you meant.

Anyway, I have come to the conclusion that the 24 hour turn-over isn't working, as no one (since Avera9eJoe) has launched anything. So, I'm keeping the current launch order, but Monopropellant has no time limit, unless he won't be available anytime soon.

Yes not in the save file, but in a new file. Sounds good on your new plan.

I'm really just asking what movie making programs do you all suggest for a windows user. So what do you all suggest?

Sorry I've dropped off the grid guys. My week has been pretty hellish. I'm gonna be off the grid probably for most of the weekend too :sad: but I will return, I have not forsaken or forgotten yall.

Just an update on what's in my head. I'm thinking around what an endgame scenario for this could be. What defines endgame on this? Anyone have any input? Is is when we cover every kethane deposit and then some (within kerbin system)? Is it when we have cycled everyone through PL twice? What should mark the end of K3 and start something new? Keep in mind that this is restricted to just the kerbin system. The next one will focus on a different region of the kerbol system. I'm also open to suggestions in that respect. I'd like to do something with duna but it has limited possibilities (one moon vs kerbin's two and it requires an interplanetary transfer window). The joolian system has endless possibilities (or close to it) but is harder to get to and is much more advanced destination. It would draw from a higher skill tier of the community. As always, all yall with me will get priority entry because you are a player here.

I'm sorry but you all should watch this I just tried testing what a Kerbal would sound like speaking English. IT'S GREAT.

Sorry about being off topic I will not post anything stupid until I've actually finished my video or something like that. In which I'll post a link in an on topic post.

On the note of ending this mission thing, I like the idea of ending when every Kethane deposit is covered either by single launches or bases.
