Aircraft Carriers

Don\'t know if I have posted this here before, but my Yamato space battleship (and sea cruiser) can have VTOL-capable ships land and launch from a stern runway.

I bet it wobbles. And it looks like it could tip over on the pad because of all those fuel tanks on the underside.

Struts, and it doesn\'t tip in any direction because even though there are more fuel tanks on the hull, the tanks on the bridge above is much further from the center of the ship.

Holy crap, that\'s amazing. Don\'t suppose you could post the craft file and mods you used for that?...

Im thinking making the flying aircraft carrier that carries aircraft carriers ontop of the main aircraft carrier from launch, so in mid flight, I will detach, and then come back and use damned robotics arms to attach myself back on.

Ill start tonight. :D

The blades alone would rip themselves apart at the speed they would have to be spun.

Oh well... One day...

(When we smash physics up into teeny-weeny little insignificant pieces...)

Oh. :(

I need an engine design for a totally ridiculous flying city idea I had. How about carbon nano tubes for the blades?

It\'s more to do with the fact that the force needed to make the blades turn is huge. You would need both speed and torque. And a heck of a lot more of it than any modern day engine or motor could give you.
