Comrade Jenkens
Still ironing out the kinks but the Gn-24 is almost finished. I decided that its going to act as a mothership / cargo hauler rather than a military ship.It packs an roughly 12,000 dV and then a further 3000 on the ion drives alone! ArcticX9
This is the Kaze, a high speed transport craft designed for carrying space probes to altitude before launching them.Javascript is disabled. View full albumIt's a bit finicky during high speed turns and landings are generally frightening as it tends to veer off course and roll over when landing at higher speeds. iClarion
Designing suspension for a car What technique did you use to create that effect? It's amazing! How does it perform against regular suspension in a hairpin turn? Or flipping up on a hard stop? On the Mun?There's so much potential for realistic experiments with a concept like that! Good stuff! problemecium
For those who care, I present the planned successor to the Kerbatar and Kerbatar 2 (yet to be named):This is before the various landers, deployable probes, escape pods, engines, and other modules are attached. It's constructed in segments, each to be launched individually and joined with the others in orbit.
Darth Lazarus
sadly i had not the time to work on my KSP ships ... *sadface* but i got something new, first of all, teh stock heatshild. i use this technic for mostly all of my 3man command pods now: a TR-XL stack seperator, turnd by 180 degree, and a Rockomax Brand Adapater 02 as "heatshild" (no garante on reentry ) for my Kerpollo i designed a housing for teh shild ontop of teh service module (similar things on my Orion work-a-like)and you can see that i equiped the command pod with reenrty-controll RCS on top. bound to an actiongroup so that they are deactivated until reenrty. and yes i like to roleplay my missions pictures:on a sidenote: LSAM

Ravenchant
~snip~...wow. That's big. You will probably need more than two engines for that monster On topic, I'm expanding my SSTO fleet and just managed to get this one into a stable orbit. It needs a few tweaks before releasing, though.EDIT: I managed to make it look a bit sleeker and drop the canards. Pretty sure this is my least awful plane design so far. Ravenchant
Sorry for spamming this thread..anyway, the plane from my previous post is almost done. I added a working (kinda) cargo bay and better RCS placement. Will put up a download link tomorrow Here is a pic of the Bogatyr 2-7C, the current iteration, flaring on landing after delivering its 3 ton payload to a 200km orbit. I daresay it looks sleek
Giggleplex777
I decided to build bigger aircraft for a change. This one's very stable and can fly without SAS.
Rune
Indeed it does, Ravenchant, indeed it does. I presume that cargo bay uses landing gears to open?Rune. They are the latest rage! Do one before they become stock!
Ravenchant
I presume that cargo bay uses landing gears to open?Er...no, it's slightly more banal. The top section has its own probe core, battery, RCS and is connected with a jr. docking port. Once the payload is unloaded, you can "fly" it back to its place
Rune
The soon-to-happen-I-hope announced introduction of stock cargo bays is definitely not going to stop me using the newfound Klaw trick.Rune. Isn't this the best thing since sliced bread?
