Giggleplex777
my work so far:http://i.imgur.com/HwNAM0V.jpgYour Energia M inspired me to build my own version of it and an entire family of heavy lift rockets. Pics soonâ„¢.BTW, did you use two skippers for the RD-0120?

RocketPilot573
I added some cubic struts to give the wing some shape:
ethan829
Hi all, I have been very busy making a very detailed replica of the Curiosity rover and Atlas V 541 (AV-028) She is nearing completion so I thought I would post a teaser pic!I just need to make a few visual changes to the skycrane and rover, make a vid then release it tomorrow hopefully.http://i58.tinypic.com/hs8cw5.pngMJI've tried making fairings out of wing panels before but my rockets always want to turn upside-down in flight with them. Have you found a way around this?
Rune
I've tried making fairings out of wing panels before but my rockets always want to turn upside-down in flight with them. Have you found a way around this? You have to take care to pick the shape so that they DON'T generate lift. Think how you would put them on a plane, and consider that that's they way you don't want them . It all comes form the fact that wings have a direction in which they "see" the air and generate lift, and if you put them perpendicular to that, they just don't. That might seem weird, but a few tests will see you through better than any words: pick the other kind of rectangular wings, put them so they end up in the same orientation, and things will work.Rune. Kinda like when a delta wing placed on the leading edge of another wing, or its rear edge: it's mostly dead weight until you start moving sideways. It's amazing what a difference that makes. I only had 8 large wing panels facing the "wrong" direction and my rocket took a nosedive into KSC every time. Rune
I've been working on a MEM, with detachable 3.75m heatshield and cargo bay and everything:I'm almost happy with it. The last 10% might take a full rebuild, though.Rune. What I really like is the hab in the lower stage to access from the ground.

Guest
Hey,Here's some pics leaked from my new VTOL that i called the KERMILIEN, i'm still tweaking it but the idea isthat it uses a new frame, made for encapsuling the vtol engine force within the highly resistant parts of the ship, what results is extreme maneuverability at low speed (you can keep a/d pressed and spin without loosing direction (in FAR!!!), reinforced by the double X cabling on the rear wings. It still relies on reaction wheels, but it is balanced nonetheless and ready to fly. So i'll just drop the craft file there:Please try it before giving me any advice (except feedback on look of course)https://www./?g8od5o8ijg5bhngOh and also as I didn't get much feedbacks in my previous craft i'll leave a link there, maybe some of you didn't see it in the massive pile of crap the spacecraft exchange currently is. Been seeing it for a while, it just fits doesn't it. I've used them in my wip heavy lift VTOL.

blou04
I designed a concept for an air launch shuttle. The craft comes in two part: a drone carrier powered by 7 rapier engines that leap into space and a shuttle that detach while over 70km and circularize with around 2G's acceleration http://imgur.com/iHuXaVj,x74liXII took inspiration from the Lucifer shuttle. note that the carrier isn't stable in reentry, i aded a fuel tank and canard since the screenshots were taken, i didn't had time to test it afterwards. Ravenchant
Holy hell, those are... big ships.Since my previous shuttles had either a cargo bay or a crew, I'm making a new one that has a bit of everything and is a little less stubby. Codename: Karuna.
