I'm stunned...

Some people are born to build...

Thanks but tbh there's quite a lot of tricks involved you know, one of the most useful I use is to offset while angle snapping to rail a part in line with its root.

You COULD Try RAPIERing it :D

If your flight profile is good enough, you can crack 1200m/s with the turbo before it cuts at 23km or 1400m/s with the RAPIERs before they cut out at 26km :)

Tip 1 RAM intake is overkill enough for a turbo, and slight more need for the RAPIER

air hogging = Nah

Try fuel efficient 40 degrees to 10km then go low on variable 5-10 degrees to Mach break until 19km, then pull up to 20 degrees to avoid burns, but by that time you should have gotten a good 1200m/s or an even better 1400m/s

Try adding an engine pre-cooler and the R.A.P.I.E.R will work in airbrathing mode up to a flight ceiling of close to 30 km. However SSTO efficiency is overall reduced, especially with small designs. I am still trying to reproduce my Arrowhead SSTO, which was so successful in .90 (check sig for pictures and craftfile).

What I am doing:

-Starting a new project, the "Delta Clipper".

I already have it almost worked out.

-Also making a Soyuz 2 Rocket modeled after this:

270px-Soyuz_2_metop.jpg

-Making a new series of lifters, one of which will have a space on Stage 2 for 8 small "Hitchhiker" sats.

-Working on a Cupcake... style atmospheric only dropship for Laythe and Kerbin. Works well and can land on water. It is under testing but the final version should be able to carry 10+ tons.

-Testing Rune's base 1.0

-Building and Atlas V 551 with a Star-48 booster based on this:

NewHorizons_Rocket_Bly.jpg

Oh, also, I'm working on a deep-space ComSat network, and teaching my sis KSP (Those two are linked, she tests the controls and I send the craft out as SunSats after. Works very well sctually, and I mostly use the Mun for slingshots out. It taught me some things too! I skimmed within loading range of my Mun base with the most recent probe).

Added Atlas V 551 and added more info+Photo.

And getting more to-do stuff on top. ;)

Rune. Welcome to my base testing team! So far, it's mostly you.

Heh.

Updated though with my Atlas V 551 and testing for you!

I literally just finished the Atlas V 551. New Horizons style probe. It has a Kerbal twist though and some bunouses. Fully capable of Eeloo Flyby or even Eeloo Insertion.

I'll upload it tomorrow.

A soil analyzer rover (with mako jumps :) ) for finding best mining spots after an orbital scan.

And the *almost* completed universal mining rig with burner ready to go

Final touches on the f22 and I'll hopefully release it tomorrow. Also maybe the stock/no VTOL f35.

And I didn't think it would be possible but I've got a pretty solid start on a realistic VTOL f-35. It's gonna need IR for the rear engine and bottom doors, unless someone knows of a trick I could use for either. There's an intake under the airbrake that is exposed when opened.

The Constellation project goes slowly but surely, there's so much to do. I'm eager to see others have come up with, there's so many pieces and so little parts!

-The MTV is done, barely any work was needed to make it assemble in orbit.

-Ares 1 is having TWR issues, but nothing unsolvable. Not started Ares V yet.

-The Mars landers are well on their way, I'm having issues stowing their legs without them protruding out of the fairings.

-Orion is being redone, I didn't like the version I did for the standalone MTV.

-I haven't started Altair yet, MJ's version is going to be very hard to beat.

I cant wait to see what you come up with Zucal! There are so few stock full constellation mission on the forum. How are the landers coming?

Working on a Cosntell as well, heavy work will come after exams finish (nearly).

Built a white/black aeroshell, Ares I coming along nicely.

I had an Altair as well, but it sure won't be MJ quality.

Ooh are you using a custom fairing like the good old days? I prefer them over the travesty that is Squads stock fairings but it would push up the part count too high..

-Starting a constellation mission. I'll only make the landers, the Dragon V2 and Dragon Rider will be built by others (One has been built).
