Personally, I think that Warner Brothers should make it. They made the Lego Movie, look at their success. But, maybe they should wait until the game is out of Beta and then start production. I mean by then, the fanbase will be at least 6x larger than it is now.

Perhaps some kind of space race, like Around the World in 80 Days, except with the entire Kerbolar system.

Too bad this isn't going to happen. It's a nice thought, though.

YES. Something like around the world in 80 days, with wacky inventions, cool flyby shots, and a good script.

That would be awesome. If only we could get Macy Dean to direct it...

Apollo 13 with more humor, expolisions and kerbals.

Perhaps an overriding theme can be that kerbin is in trouble and they need to act quickly to find a new home to colonize on.

I don't feel this is too open ended at all. The open endedness (is that a word? Lol) would actually allow much more freedom in forming a plot.

This could work although I doubt this game is big enough for a big studio like Pixar.

A good script can make any concept work well. I can see a fun KSP movie being made, probably focused around Jeb's dreams of one day being the first Kerbal to set foot upon the Mun. And when he's done that, on Duna. And when he's done that, on Jool (expressing that desire just before the credits roll, for comedy effect).

Sound like a fun idea

we at least need loads of explosions etc.

Maybe a TV series would be better...

Yes.

YES!

YEEEEEESSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A TV series would be great.

"Jeb forgot to pack his parachutes and is flying down to kerbin at blistering speeds. What will he do? Find out next time, on Kerbal Space Program!"

I voted no, with the stipulation that it means "not yet." KSP is currently too open-ended for a movie with a meaningful plot. The Kerbals would need an end goal. Maybe a fight against the Kraken?

I know. A journey to Eeloo or Jool.
