I first played in 0.18 something I believe, can still remember the super power SAS which sucked all of your mono-propellant away in huge ships if the thrusters were only a tiny bit unbalanced. And the great joy when they added rover wheels to the game in 0.19(I believe). I found this game through Scott Manley's video's.

I played the game in 0.10. I remember I couldn't get to the mun because there was no way telling wether the mun captured you or not and you had to guess... And than the forum crashed and my account got deleted..

All the way back in the days of 0.11, I tried the game for the first time. Though my first introduction (via one of the earliest internet videos of KSP on YouTube) was 0.8.4.

When I heard about it in Rock, Paper, Shotgun. I got the first version with symmetry.

It's interesting that it seems to peak between .17 and .20.

The comparatively small number of people from the beginning probably stems from the fact that the game was not very well-known at the time (assuming we have a representative sample).

Actually, the first big boost seems to have been around the time the game went pay-to-play. That was also about when many of the early big names in the KSP scene (most notably Scott Manley and Kurtjmac) started promoting the game heavily in their videos.

I started playing with the 0.13.3 demo, at that time you weren't mandated to "buy" the game to play but were asked to make a donation.

I bought the game during the 0.15-0.16 transition(I remember, even today, the huge lag of the store and the forum. I didn't knew that it was because of an update and it was during a week-end so I tough the increased caused the lag(it was,after all, the week-end!))

If you want the exact day, I bought the game the july 22, 2012 and it definitively worth the 18$ I spent on that game!

I selected 0.15/0.16 because it's the nearest option, by the way, does the intervals are included or not?

If I joined in 0.17, should I select "0.15-0.17" or "0.17-0.20"?
