Im going to build a station on class E asteroid (or D) I've made very powerful vehicle to make it work - 8 nuclear engines + a lot of fuel + lots of SAS modules. I redirected class D with it, so it could work on E too.

The TSC Kerbin Asteroid Research Station

Two class C asteroids linked together and equipped with a habitation unit, dual port docking station, fuel farm, heavy power generator, twin solar farms, and long-range communications tower. Started out with me seeing if I could manage to dock two asteroids together and I just had fun with them from there.

I made a 2 asteroid base very similar to this one but I needed to dismantle it because it seemed to be greatly stimulating frequent occurrences of the frozen orbit bug.

A big shame as I was having a lot of fun with it.

Never mind, I expect the bug will be fixed in KSP update 0.24 and then I will build something similar again.

I've slowed down an E class but its on very high orbit and Jeb, Bill and Bob have no fuel for return. btw My asteroid tug can land on Kerbin without parachutes

Grabbed a class B using the probe at the bottom of the screen, got it in a 500k Kerbin orbit, tossed a habitation module onto it (top, with the docking port backwards... oops), then changed my mind and parked it at 200k over the Mun. Next I flew up 2400 liters of fuel (the cross-y module on the left) with one of the large RCS tanks and a bunch of solar panels, a mobile processing lab (doing this all in career mode), and a tanker with another 1200 liters of fuel and some badly needed lights. My Munar lander is docked with the central fuel tanks at the moment as well; I've been working through every Munar biome and bringing back surface samples, materials studies, and mystery goo canisters from each one, then dumping them all in the lab.
