reason im posting this here is because I want to raise awareness of this project, as far as I know this is not a project squad had put forward but if there is enough publicity behind it, this thing can become a reality

I believe this was shown a few months ago on the forums. While some KSP sets would be awesome, you could probably make most KSP parts from rocket/shuttle lego sets anyway. If not, you can buy individual parts from various places online.

I myself have a lovely big box of Lego next to my PC, do I'm gonna see what I can make with those.

This would actually make it *more* likely for LEGO corporate to be willing to do a KSP set, despite it's theoretically "limited sales potential." After all, if all they have to do is package parts that they already make in KSP-themed packaging, then there's virtually no cost to them, and each sale is almost pure profit.

I'd want to see an actual Lego rocket design first.

The main problem I see is that the best known stock craft, the Kerbal X, lacks the most iconic single part, the big orange tank. I'm not sure how this could best be resolved.

I basically live next door to the factory, maybe IF someone could wip something up too encourage the guys in charge, I would gladly go over there with it :-D

Now I wish I had brought all my lego with me when I moved for Uni...

It has a Mainsail and the 1.25m tanks, though.
