tygoo7
Is everybody else having odd issues with helmets disappearing and reappearing with .25? With a craft on the launchpad, they don't have their helmets on. As soon as it launches though, they appear. Usually once I reach space, they disappear again until I EVA and reenter. That is intended IIRC. They only have their helmets on it dangerous situations usually. Check that thread, you can disable it if you don't like it.0.25 version very soon.First the "core" pack, including the necessary plugins for easier installs.Later the "extras".You'll love it. Promise.
Castun
That is intended IIRC. They only have their helmets on it dangerous situations usually.Ahh, that must be a newer feature since I last played. I remember they used to EVA without their helmet when in atmosphere, but they used to always have their helmets on while inside the craft itself. That is a feature from the Texture Replacer mod. Check that thread, you can disable it if you don't like it.Thanks!

xXIndestructibleEVAXx
Ohhh... well, then, how do I delete them? Can I just, not install them? (and if there is no way, I can just roll with it)
Ignath
Yep, that's exactly what you'd want to do...just don't move the SQUAD folder inside the download into GameData.
xXIndestructibleEVAXx
But how? Where are they? And how do I know which are which?
Ignath
Sec, working on re-downloading again to figure out exactly how Proot structured everything in the download. I'll let you know in a couple seconds...Edit: So, I was wrong...he didn't include them in the SQUAD folder, but nested w/in the TextureReplacer folder. You would want to delete/not merge the Squad folder that is in the TextureReplacer/Default/ folder. The full path to the folder you want to delete or not merge is: KSPRC_v01.515.zip\GameData\TextureReplacer\Default\Squad\Parts Edited October 24, 2014 by Ignath Confirming location of re-textured SQUAD parts
xXIndestructibleEVAXx
Also, forgot to ask, does this add auroras? It doesn't show any pictures in the OP, but in the picture of Jool, I think I can almost see one on the pole.
Ignath
Yep, the auroras are in the GameData/BoulderCo/Clouds/Textures folder. There is an aurora texture in there.Auroras should be for Jool and Kerbin IIRC.
xXIndestructibleEVAXx
no Eve aurora? Hmph... Still thats awesome! I'll download this now (read: when I get a PC that can run it)
Ignath
no Eve aurora? Hmph... Still thats awesome! I'll download this now (read: when I get a PC that can run it)Might be one on Eve too...I don't recall specifically since I haven't played w/this pack since .24. If not, I'm sure you could dig through some of the .cfg files in the BoulderCo folder and try to figure out how to plop one in yourself. I don't think it's very difficult to set up and just re-use the aurora.png file for it.
xXIndestructibleEVAXx
Great, know just the issue of not having a PC... the one im saving for is $400+, I only have a bit over 100... (give me all y'ur money)
slumpie
I replace the textures with Texture Replacer, so your info is fantastic, but the solution is not so easy with archives where the normal map is originally called "model001". No idea if it's still a problem or not, but all you have to do for those normal maps without NRM ending is to put the data from the red channel into the alpha channel and save it. After that swap the red and blue channel will no longer matter. Just keep the green channel and put the red into the alpha - done.Normal maps with *NRM should look purple, normal maps without that ending should appear to be grey or green. Just visually of course, not as if colours would matter for normal maps..mbm files are a bit different though. Proot
About the new lens flare... will be very problematic provide the modified asset in the pack? or is "allowed" for this intentions? Anybody truly informed about this?
BudgetHedgehog
I believe it would be allowed - Astronomer distributed an .assets file with the old AVP and he was featured on Modding Mondays and BA has an optional sunflare download in the OP. I don't think either of these would have escaped Squads attention so you may be in the clear.'May' being the important word - I honestly have no idea, I'm just saying what's already happened. So yeah, I'm not truly informed about it
