Cargo Transportation Solutions (WIP)

A small MM config to reduce the prices to 10% of their original mod value. 21000 for a single cargo piece was hurting my career mode wallet a bit to much :). 2100 is still way higher than most structural pieces that I have, but it is obviously made from the highest quality material.

Where can I find the most resent download link please and thank you.

The download link is in the original post.

The non-animated parts will work with any version of KSP as they do nothing (just structural).

The animated parts require firespitter (see note at bottom of OP), so you will need a firespitter DLL that works with the current version of KSP, which you should place in the root of your GameData folder.

I can't get hangar doors to close :(

I'm playing v.24.0 for few mods compatibility, CTS is working, I did copy the Firespitter.dll into Plugins, GameData and CTS folders and still no effect. Tried both the raw Firespitter.dll from github page and one I extracted from whole Firespitter zip for .24 version. I think animation is not missing because when I add hangar bay its doors briefly slide open but then I can't do anything with it. Action groups (vanilla and AGX) show there is no action for hangar door.

This is a great mod, simple and universal but it's weird to not be able to close hangars :D

Anything I might be doing wrong?

I'm not having a problem with .24. Are you on 64-bit?

I'm on 32-bit and actually I got this to work but now I get crashes or freezes in vab or when I click launch. That's probably some other mod conflicting (I've got like 15) so maybe also that was causing plugin problems. Will try to find cause, thanks for the help anyway :)

I had both of these issues in the past. What it ended up being was a duplicate firespitter.dll somewhere.

Go out to https://github.com/snjo/Firespitter/blob/master/For%20release/Firespitter/Plugins/Firespitter.dll?raw=true to download the latest Firespitter.dll, put that someplace sane.

Do a find files & folders on your GameData directory (or dir firespitter.dll /b/s from the command line or find . -name firespitter.dll -print if unix or mac) to find any possible duplicate firespitter.dll files.

That might just solve your issue, when I did this I found two random firespitter.dlls that had been installed at some point with some mod.

not to seem like a turdburglar but what kind of time frame are we looking at for the tech integration? I only ask because im really eager to try the mod. thank you for your hard work!

It's in the tech tree now. It's not unlocked until later though. I think smaller pieces should be unlocked earlier though. Just make sure you use the price fix a page or 2 back. I found that out after burning through 2 million funds!

Is docking ring only way to break the truss to get things inside out?

You can use decouplers/seperators if you want to. It's a lot easier just using the docking rings though. I'm pretty sure you can set the ring to action keys too.

This mod looks wonderful, but I can't even figure out how to use the docking ring. I'm trying to package up 3 or 4 OKS (Orbital Kolonization System) inflatable modules, which are floppy and wobble around when linked together as the payload on a rocket. I can manage to get the modules inside at least some of the CTS parts, although I'm not sure which CTS parts are best to use.

But once I dock the modules at my space station, I want to remove the CTS cages or trusses, or, alternatively, dock the payload and then back out with my tug still wearing the cages. How do I do that? I can get a docking ring, or even two docking rings, attached to the bottom of a cage. But I'm not sure what to do next. Do I use two rings or one? What do I attach to what?

Thanks in advance. The mod does looks beautiful; I just need to learn how to use it.

Just use them the way you'd use stock docking rings. Treat it like a bunch of fuel tanks chained together. And make sure the docking part of the docking ring is facing the correct way. You want:

[Docking Ring] [Cargo] [Docking Ring] [Docking Ring] [Cargo] [Docking Ring] ... Repeating as needed

Small bug report, or at least... I don't get it :D

The small mounting plate in the Arched Frame V2 has it's node pointed upwards, meaning if you mount something on it, it has the same orientation as the frame itself. A docking port there (i know, could be surface-mounted :P) would point alongside the frame, not "inside" the frame.

First of all, thanks invultri. I configed your config :)

I went through and made individual tweaks to the prices based on costs of similar parts in KW Rocketry and Near Future Construction. Basically I pulled numbers out of my... imagination, but they should be closer to being reasonable now rather than 2100 across the board, let alone 21000 :)

Which side of these docking rings is the "docking" side?
