WWEdeadman
So I just tried it with the 64 bit workaround. Looks amazing, and works in high-res without any problems. (I love that I don't need active texture management anymore) Can't wait to record my next let's play episode with this. So much better than V4.I didn't put in the sun flare though, cause it seems like a lot of work to get that in, judging from the tutorial you linked. I like the white color of Kerbol though. much more blinding close up than the original.
asheft
the sun flare dose not work have i installed it right i put it in game data As far as I can tell, the solar flare has a special installation process (not just putting it in GameData), look at the installation guide for BA. I also think that there is no way to get it to work on Mac...

Woodstar
Thanks for the mediafire link. I guess this is one reason people don't like curse...So, let's see if this works with the 64 bit workaround.Wait there is a 64bit KSP O.O? Where? Does it work with all mods? BAv5 is too memory intensive, think im going to have to go back v4, yes I have ATM. What would happen if I only used the v5 without the others? DasPenguin85
I hope this doesn't come off as rude or anything, but is there a possibility that we could get a version that doesn't require the asteroids, terraforming, and texture replacer mods? I think the mod looks great, but it's so crazy with memory that running the 32 bit version of KSP it just simply locks up. I'd love to try the mod, and I can only speak for my self when I say this, but I really don't want to be required to install a bunch of mods I don't intend to use at all.Summary: I think it looks fantastic, but I really just want the effects without the other addons. AndreyATGB
You can just copy over the boulder co and EVE only, if I understand it correctly, the pack is pretty modular and runs with some plugins missing.
Wolfknight
When I look in the horizon theres still a white line or, its white from the ground to the sky, why is that? I got the High res to work
JeffreyCor
It does say that, however since installing V5 I'm crashing all over the place with memory problems even though I have only the EVE dependency with this and Active Texture Management Aggressive and the low res V5. Please see this post to get his latest configs, they saved me 400MB.
wasmic
Only two things are keeping me from updating right away: I think Kerbol is too white (it's nice to have it bee white, but not that white, IMO) and the absence of cartoony yellow-beige-whatever clouds on Jool. The first one I can probably change myself, but I don't know how to do the second one.
falken
Turns out the crashes were due to me running out of memory, even with ATM. I finally decided to do the 64bit hack, and now I'm using like 5gb or memory in KSP. Oh, and BAv5 works!

ArcFurnace
For those wondering what the various dependencies do: EVE is used to add the clouds/city lights/auroras, and is probably the biggest dependency. Texture Replacer appears to be used to replace the skybox (background galaxy/stars texture) and the Kerbin surface texture. Custom Asteroids is used solely to add the Jool ring-asteroids. KittopiaTech Terraforming is used solely to add the Jool ring texture. RSS (included with the BA pack) is used solely to alter the appearance of Kerbin's atmosphere from ground level (no more white near the horizon). I personally left out Custom Asteroids (didn't install the dependency and didn't copy over the folder from the pack) and kept everything else. Thesonicgalaxy
I've updated the low res download to fix the particle issue. I've also started work on some alternate configs.I'll also create a Medium Res download for those who can handle more than low res, but not high res.Do remember that everything in here is optional, just don't install what you don't want. tygoo7
This pack is utterly gorgeous. I literally thought I was in Space Engine for a little bit. V4 looked a bit cartoony to me but you guys really stepped it up with V5. I look forward to seeing the stormy laythe and the original ring texture! EDIT: Oh and also the Medium Res version. asheft
Is it the texture replacer that makes Kerbol white? I am having problems with that and may need to reinstall the part of BA that makes it white. Also looking forward to the medium res version! It is pretty amazing what the modding community has done for this game.

RogueMason
So, I love V5, but I've encountered a rather... jarring issue:The clouds are being funky. My guess is that they're moving at different speeds and I'm ending up with duplicates, essentially. Is there any way I can fix this?
BudgetHedgehog
I have a bug with the sun still having an orange glow around it. The sun flare works and I see the white but once I get close the yellow appears. http://i.imgur.com/1YCJVON.pnghttp://i.imgur.com/bXCFIXv.pngI'm getting that too.. I'll be honest and say the rest of the pack doesn't appeal to me that much but I fancied a change in the sun texture (Astronomers doesn't have flare) and yeah.. from far away, it's white, and close up, it turns yellow. It appears that the installation instructions for the solar flare linked to by the download guide are for the universe replacer mod (not the texture replacer mod), is that intentional? If so, are the installation instructions still the same? They appear to be geared towards Windows users...Edit: I just read on the universe replacer thread that it is not possible to modify that particular file on a Mac...The installation of the solar flare is completely independent of UR (it even says in the post that "This is one of the few textures the universe replacer can not actually replace and requires manual editing skills.") and even if it wasn't, TR is basically the same thing as UR and the installation instructions are the same. However, like I said, you don't need UR to change the solar flare, you need UnityAssestsExplorer, which is linked in that post. That said, I don't know if UAE works on a Mac. If it doesn't, then yes, you can't change the solar flare.EDIT:Is it the texture replacer that makes Kerbol white? No, TR doesn't touch the solar flare.Talking of solar flare, I do think it's a bit much.. I agree with wasamic, it's a bit too much.. Nice work otherwise though Edited June 16, 2014 by ObsessedWithKSP
