can you save more then 2 ships and name them in this game?

i want to build a new ship but then my old one will get deleted whenever i save it just overides my last save and then i get the auto save as my second save does anyone know how to fix this i got this game last week and want to try making more things but i dont want my main shuttle to get deleted

If you're talking about names in the VAB or SPH, then the names have to be different. The game uses the name of the craft when it names the file where it stores the ship.

If you want to use an existing ship as the start for a new one, click on the top center (where the name is) and rename it. When you save it, it will be a different file and won't overwrite your previous craft.

That should explain how to save and load ships in the VAB.

i made it to orbit i made it to the mun and back with all the science i made it to minmus and back noow i am trying to rescue 2 kermins that are stuck with no feul around minmus from my earlier trips there i only know unlocked the shuttle that holds 3 people so i sent it up to rescue the 2 lost kermins because they are holding a lot of science on there ship

Launch a ship with a probe attached to a capsule. Make sure you empty the capsule before launch. Rendevous with the ship that needs rescue. EVA the first Kerbal, then right click on the door of his capsule and take the science, then get in the rescue ship. EVA the second Kerbal, put him in the rescue ship. Return to Kerbin. If you have external experiments on the dead ship, make sure you right click on them with one of your Kerbals and collect the data.

Don't forget the parachutes.

I name all my ships "Goat #". Sometimes if it's a variation I'll add a letter, and if it's a specific mission design I'll add the destination. Like, for example "Goat VIc- Moho".

You can also name ships without saving, useful if you have multiple missions to multiple biomes. At one point I had "Goat IIIb Jeb" "Goat IIIb Bill" and "Goat IIIb Bob" all going to Mun. Just change the name, and hit "Launch", they'll show that way in the tracking station without being saved as a new ship.
