Whats the status of ECLSS?

Recommended Posts

I stopped using ECLSS awhile ago about a month before Asmi announced the hiatus. I remember terrible bugs that would lock up the UI, copy kerbals on eva and, well.. that's about it. Im trying to utilize Universal Storage. So.. do people still use the mod? Are there fixes for it other then the US Rebalancer?

asmi is still away, catching up on things. ECLSS is still on hiatus. There have not been fixes, so it's probably best to use TAC in the interim; for the record, however, I have yet to personally encounter a bug with ECLSS. But then again I don't play much.

Hmm.. suppose I might give it a go. May have been another mod conflict causing the UI lockups.. though I did some extensive trouble shooting back when I was having the problems. But its been a few months, so maybe it'll work now. Yea.. just because of Universal Storage am I even considering switching back to life support. Beautiful parts that I must find a use for. Thanks fellas.

I ran it for a time. I never encountered these horrible bugs you report. It worked flawlessly for me. TAC is actually more of what I want, but until US supports it, I refuse to use it.

Beat me to it :)

I was going to start using Universal Storage but didnt want to mess with ECLSS if it was abandoned. Its good to know that is still works fine. Maybe someone will pick it up.

TAC is more realistic, a bit bigger challenge too. US is supporting it coming semi-soon. We're waiting on TAC to convert from a kerbal/day system to a liter system (or not) so US can balance accordingly.
