May 2014 discover magazine and ksp?

Just a little blurb. If anyone reads discover magazine on page 41 there is a couple digital pictures on the right hand side of a new ion rocket that is being developed. Just thought I'd mention it because the 3 pictures there look an awful lot like Ksp. I'm on my phone or I would take a picture and post it..

Nah, they're not KSP. Though they do resemble it. If it is, I'd be surprised.

There are a lot of magazines with similar titles around the world. It would be useful if we all remembered we're addressing a worldwide community here and specified which country/area we were talking about (see also the 'year 6' pupils thread which wasn't clarified at all by me when someone said 'same as grade 6').

Well, you'd have to be a Discover magazine online subscriber or some other nonsense to look at the actual article, but I did find another article on the thing specified in the article.

I was actually lucky here, I got this specific issue of the magazine for Easter. I just checked, it's definitely not KSP. The parts are a bit different, e.g. the circular solar panels on the asteroid redirector.

Maybe it's not. Maybe it's just part mods. Hard to tell in my opinion. Who's to say nasa or someone didn't just do their own parts to try stuff out.
