How would kermen reproduce?

They are clearly asexual due to the lack of a female (or male?) species, so they cant release kemen (btw, I am only writing this thread because of that absolutely ****ing terrible joke)

I've heard ideas that they are actually fungi or plantalia so they simply drop seeds and pollen (or spores).

Anyone with other creative ideas on their reproductive habits?

When you kill a Kerbal and you get that big puff of "smoke" from 'em? That's them disintegrating into individual cells, much like bacteria. Each cell multiplies and you end up, over a course of a few in-game years, with several thousand fully grown Kerbals.

I think whenever one crashes and dies, all the individual pieces grow into brand new Kerbals (Kermans / Kermen?). Like starfish. There's a neverending supply and no women, there has to be a reason.

Sexual reproduction., and the females stay underground. They[the females] die of rocket-propulsion related gases, which the males are immune to. So, they stay underground, and we get to play with the males.

You are aware that this is an official WH 40K lore. The other green guys that like thing go boom.

But me being a fan of that universe too, I like it. :)

Actually, I never knew of Warhammer 40k 'til you mentioned it and I looked it up. I applied some general sci-fi logic to it. If something explodes into smoke when it's "killed" it isn't dead yet.

Moved to the Space Lounge because Urgh, and also, speculation on how fictional characters reproduce is somewhat disturbing.

Don't forget to keep to the rules please, nobbers12345, I recommend you avoid any further profanity.

I suppose I could go along with the idea of spores being released upon death. It would certainly explain the huge (technically infinite) stream of recruits for the space program. Perhaps these spores, once reaching a certain size whilst growing like a plant, slither underground into the heart of the underground Kerbal society?
