After the teams are eliminated and a grand winner is selected, new teams will be picked for future competitions until everyone is eliminated and a second winner selected and so on if I am right. Right?

I look forward to seeing what the teams come up with - I would participate in the unofficial version, but mid-refuel mission >.< might try something before the deadline though...

Yeah, know what you mean... I kinda felt a bit dirty seeing what was going on over on Reddit! not on a team, but felt a bit like Industrial Spying or something lol..

I hope you guys do get to submit .gifs, they always make for the more interesting entries xD

Whackjob is a league of his own, he functions in a universe with a couple extra dimensions, adding him to any team would automatically disintegrate the other teams, turning their bodies to ashes.

Whackjob is KSP god mode.

I don´t like hyperedit neither, but I think the spirit of this first challenge is "go for aesthetics, make a pretty cup". I´m sure the next challenges will be more strict and complex.

Wait, what? We do have a notion of pulling of an unofficial second tier tournament in my team, but to my knowledge we just aren't going to compete in the official one, the eight teams fighting for the "real" cup are already picked up.

It is indeed weird to be quoted next to that master of excess, our paths rarely cross. And quite flattering, BTW. But not only is our fanbase hugely different in size (IMHO), our playstyles are completely different. Not that I don't like seeing his every now and then!

Rune. I go more with "engineering" and less with "excessive engineering". But yeah, "if it's worth doing, it's worth overdoing".

Regarding Hyperedit, remember that this is not an objectively scored challenge, but one where the winner will be chosen by public vote. Assuming that "full disclosure" of mods used is required, voters will be free to shun the Hyperedited entries.
