Agreed. Even if the answer had been "yes" to including the out-of-game material, it would now have to be "no" since including it would giveaway the author. And just by asking, you indicate that your team's plans are such that said out-of-game material would be plausibly created for your entry, when there may be other entries that wouldn't be likely to have such material made in relation to them.

(by the way, sorry for the mini-spoiler. I hope this didn't give away anything, and I didn't mean to if so.)

You just gave away your team entry :(

I think you will need to detele any blueprints in the video

Guys, I've been asked this question through PM earlier, but I wanted to answer it here to clarify this. All footage featured in the challenge must be in game. No external footage and nothing you cannot achieve on your own sans-mods in the game.

Thanks for the clarification, Rowsdower!

I've censored my request. :)

That being said: As I'm not technically in the Kerbal Cup, I think that there's no need for my entry to be indistinguishable from any other. I will likely post my entry on this page on Friday, which will make it abundantly clear that the video is mine. (I'm not sure that Rowsdower would accept displaying it with the other teams' videos if I'm really not part of any team.) So, I don't think that it's a big deal to mention the fact that my video may contain [CENSORED], as everyone will know which video is mine anyway.

I'm pretty clear on this but just wanted to make sure: No mods just means no mod parts? Or are visual mods included? I would think that the wording includes banning visual mods like Texture Replacer or EVE but I just wanted to make sure.

Then you should be posting in the "Kerbin Cup Unofficial Team Entries": http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/83034-Kerbin-Cup-Unofficial-Team-Entries-Challenge-2

Avera9eJoe is doing a great job managing that thread and is running head to head with the official one.

I'll be doing that as soon as I have a valid entry. The reason that I posted my comment here is that it is easier for the moderators to see. I'm technically in Avera9eJoe's teams list, going as a solo participant.

Thanks for the heads-up though.

Quick Question: Do the sound effects and/or music have to be stock only as well?

And, what about the visuals? Can we do color corrections on them? Add text? Motion-tracking and special effects? We understand that we can't use external footage you can't get within the game, but does that apply to animated textures for special effects?

EDIT: Answered. Nothing that enhances the stock footage is allowed.

No more YouTube themed challenges after this. Please.
it's being hell in the youtube team too!!
Truth.

Man I thought I was the only one. The challenge is reaffirming my decision to take screenshots instead of videos for most of my missions. And I'm not even doing the hard parts.

Twelve hours?! Oh, God, what time is this in EST?!

We need more time, Rowsdower!

That´s our own deadline to avoid late submissions (large video files can take time to be downloaded) and to give ourselves time in case of last time changes / emergencies.

Still, less than 18 hours for the honest to god deadline, so freaking out is allowed.
