Not to nag, but as this mod with Kerbal Space Program is the pinnacle of gaming achievement and will remain so for the rest of eternity, is there an ETA or approximate on a stable release?

Hi,

You've made it clear to create a backup of your KSP files, that it is WIP, and all that kind of stuff, so 'removing' the WIP releases and such maybe was a little rash...

However, keep up the good work, I look forward to your next release. :)

P.S. you can still get your releases by github easily, so if you want to 'remove' the releases, make that library private/hidden)

haha ok thanks, that didn't occur to me however the underlying point of removing there obvious DL links was simply to reduce the number of people using it to, in turn, reduce the number of requests/complaints about known bugs on this forum, as I am already fully aware of them ;) I like to think that if someone is despirate enough for whatever rerason, that they actually find the links, they'll also know about it's WIP'ness ;D

As far as an ETA, there are still some atmosphere things and various other features I'd like to wait until implemented, though I'm planning on getting a good chunk done this coming Christmas break, and hopefully enough for at least another testing or even full 1st release :) ... But no solid promises!

Oh.. btw got a pretty damn tasty looking mock-up release video on the way! but DAMN rendering 1080p @60fps takes an eternity!!!

I finally implemented the atmosphere change... you can try it out to see if it works for you. I may have to add an additional variable though. I also need to figure out a better lighting model.

Not to nag, but I can't wait for this to be released again. I never got a copy when it was up.

... keep this on the down low please.. the links are all still available on my GitHub here To get the version the pics show above are from and my soon to be uploaded release-vid mockup, get the master zip from the 0.25 repo, for all other releases 0.24 repo > Tags

Finally got my mock-up RVE release video rendered and uploaded (~6 hours for 3 minutes geez) feel free to check it out, Quoting the great Sagan :)

(Some really frustrating visual bugs that only surfaced after the 4 hour render during scene transitions though, couldn't find the time to re-render and fix)

That was amazing. I'm downloading the unstable release even if it ends up setting my computer on fire. If I encounter a bug should I just presume you know about it, given how many messages you say you've been getting?

Pingopete, you are doing Jeb's work. I listened to the same quote used in the short file Wanderers:

http://www.erikwernquist.com/wanderers/

Your short piece evoked the same kind of wonder.

Indeed that was what gave me the idea for them, and Sagan in general :) An incredible man, his voice just adds unpresidented levels of Epicness to everything

Astronomer's latest pack is as far from authentic/realistic as possible. Looking foreward to Astronomer's: Paradise. In my opinion, Interstellar pack just looks plain ugly. But I'll try KSPRC again.

I think it'd be somewhat counter intuitive to try and develop this realism focused visual enhancement for natively unrealistic stock ksp worlds, it'd loose focus and purpose, even to some extent for 1/10th sized RSS, it kinda doesn't make too much sense, although that will be done as it's really just a matter of re-sizing.

Maybe in the future, when this project is complete :)

I can see the appeal, but only in so far as the atmosphere parts of the mod is concerned... I love the haze effects in RVE, and would love to see those on Kerbin and Laythe. That said, that`s probably for EVE to impliment.

Keep up the good work Pete!

Gregro, I too, am looking forward to Astronomer`s Paradise pack-- making things seem less... um sparsley populated! :P

And what version of the game do you aim for?

It would seem this mod and its dependencies are largely unaffected by game version changes, it's one of the few blessings RVE gets lol, so 0.9, I've just about finished upgrading all my mods to that, and all seems to be working nicely.

Would you mind sharing the color settings for clouds you used? Trial and error with trying to get the cloudlayers file just right is exhausting ._.

How do you mean colour settings? I assume you're refering more to alpha, minLight etc? what overhaul are you using? Also you can get all this on my gitHub, but please don't release as your own, it took me a long time too! :P
