Kerbolis planet pack

Giving the Kerbol system another gas giant.

Using Planetfactory CE I have managed to make a gas giant and a system of moons to circle it.

They are, in order of distance from parent:

Kerbolis

Pingle

Oceania

Orcus

Sanctum

Pollux

Antara

To make this system work properly two mods are needed, Planetfactory CE and Kittopiaspace in-game editing tools.

In the Kittopiaspace folder you will find a folder called 'SaveLoad' you will have to replace it with the one featured in this pack.

You will also have to replace the 'Serious' folder in PlanetFactory with the one in the pack.

Use this code as you wish, but not for evil. If you use it for evil then I will be sad. Anyway, feel free to use it to learn how to make planets that might confuse people who are new to PlanetFactory CE.

I'm really enjoying Final Frontier individual merits and this does not work at all with planet factory. Other then that I have just had issues with stuff like the mun orbiting at 200km above earth, then I would reinstall it and the mun is gone, so are most of the planets. its just weird like that in my case. On a vanilla game it worked fine but as soon as slowly adding mods various issues/crashes would come along after doing something. (not ram related I did check)

Haven't been able to pinpoint those problems, I have just come from playing skyrim a while back and I am sick of troubleshooting mods, decided to actually play the game for once.

Will keep an eye on this I love any gas giant additions with a lot of moons! For my next playthrough maybe :)

HELP!!! I downloaded the file and all I got is some bizarre .7Z file that I don't know what to do with. Please help me because I am an idiot with computers.

Download 7zip To open Them, thats the file Format 7zip uses.

Yep, they were added to the 'serious' folder that comes with planetfactory. I tried to separate them from it after a while but that made them all bug out when loaded.

EDIT: I read your post wrong, the planet folder can probably be used on it's own but it will cause a few problems with some of the moons (mainly involving SOI).

Thanks, its good to know it works. I still don't know if stock parts can get there and it was only a few weeks ago that I landed on duna so if you can get there then please post some pictures here, I would love to see them.:)

Well, I ended up putting a rover onto Sanctum. I was headed for Oceania but got close to Sanctum and decided to go for it. Luckily this rover can land most anywhere. I have a pretty good rescue ship, but it may have a hard time.

The planet is fantastic, nice work on this one! I have 33 pictures and the rover just landed! I will post six for now. I got to see some of the other planets on approach, they looked good! Got a great picture of one, can't remember the name at the moment. I will post that pic another time.

Hi Again !

YES ! Serious looks like a sun and probly has sun-like data so I am able to delete the Serious system. The asteroid mod worked both ways but I aint takin any chances with my next restart. I havnt added this planet pack yet but I got Kerbin+ also...AND - I am running KSP as 64-bit (!) as per the Unity 64bit hack; kudos here.

When I zoomed in at the base site my graphics cards crashed the program tho; no biggy; using forced dx11, treeloader worked, so I am adding my mods back and all looks hopeful !

I stream also so I will be getting back to streaming when I get my mods updated...

Deleting Serious (the system or the star) causes problems with the planet pack, as I have said I did try to move them (the planets) into a separate folder and that made their textures fail to load.

If there's a problem with Serious on your save then tell me and I might be able to fix it.

As long as you do not load the Sentar Expansion your planet pack opens and works just fine. I had no problems with saves.

When I get back to Sanctum I should get some good dusk pics. Maybe tomorrow.

Okay, I have just realised that I forgot to fix the problem with the SOI of Pingle, Oceania and Orcus, I have asked for help and will update the pack when it is fixed, in the mean time DO NOT make an expedition to these three planets as the kraken will destroy the ship.

Kerbolis also has a problem where hyperediting there will cuase your speed to constantly go up preventing time warp.

Sanctum, Pollux and Antara are fine for exporation, as is the 'secret' planet.
