So KSP. Buzz aldrin is checking you out!

Found this on reddit. Buzz is doing an AMA on reddit! And I found this...

I have inspired my own video games, 10, 20, 30 years ago, and now there is in Europe a video challenge, a video activity, entitled "Buzz Aldrin's Space Program Manager." And there game players can build their own space program from the beginning, and from where we are now on into the future, with some of the components that I believe will make great progress in our transportation systems between the Earth and the Moon and Mars in a long-standing reusable way into the future. I'll have to check out Kerbal Space Program.

Jeez. He wrote "I'll have to check out KSP," not "I'm going to check out KSP on (date)." Perhaps he'll not do it at all. Is that really worth making a new thread about?

I'm surprised nobody's complained that he hasn't done it yet after promising us he would.

And where specifically he promised he would do it? Cause I can't see it anywhere.

I'll give Buzz Aldrin all the benefit in the world. Just for punching Bart Sibrel in the face. A more famous instance of the "he had it coming" defense being used appropriately is not known.

I had almost forgot about that. Just watched the clip again on YouTube and that "defense" you quoted... Couldn't be more accurate :)

I bet he plays for five minutes and becomes hopelessly addicted. He plays for 50 hours straight without reverting or quicksaving, using "apollo bags" for biological needs. He cancels all speeches, appearances and book signings. He gains access to a NASA super computer and runs a custom version of KSP with multithreaded physics and 256-bit floats, permitting astronomical part counts with unparalleled precision. Whackjob is heard to comment that his ships are "too big". He starts making youtube videos and streaming on twitch. All other players, including Manley, watch in awe. His affiliate referral program makes him several million and generates enough sales to support KSP development through version 5.0. He SSTOs from Eve sea level. He locates and defeats the kraken in personal combat Moby style, then has a taxidermist stuff and mount him to go in his study. He legally changes his name to Buzz Kaldrin and is seen wearing green makeup. He writes the definitive forum post about MechJeb, uniting player opinion on its proper role in the game. People start using his name like Chuck Norris or Bill Brasky, assigning increasingly improbable feats to his name, which he then accomplishes. People begin to see his Apollo accomplishments as a prelude to the greater things he went on to do in KSP.

Or, he plays for five minutes and then goes on about his business without playing again. Could go either way.

Edit: Moby D!ck style, stupid censor!

Pitch this as a movie. It would sell like hotcakes!
