Will there be new biomes in .24?

On further thought, it would sense for biomes to be in .25, after contracts are implemented, because then contracts for biomes could be A THING.
Agreed. It would work well since it would basically be a contract to land in a specific general area.
0.24.5

There's no need to wait all the way till 0.24, and IMHO it's pretty certain that either 0.24.5 will happen, or 0.25 will be released much, much quicker than 0.24 was.

I don't expect another .5 release. .23.5 was unusual in that it was meant to be not much more than a mod, but Squad ended up doing more extensive work to the point of being a "full" update, but by then the .5 number was stuck. I think they'll have learnt their lesson now.

I think this go around I'm going to use that custom biome mod and then cut the science for each planet by the number of biomes on it. That way, I don't get the science that the game gives me for all of Duna for each of the 10 (or whatever) biomes I hit, but instead gives me 1/10th of the Duna science for each.

Or maybe I'll restrict it even more, seeing as how contracts now give you science.

Or even better, I'll find a way to restrict contract science.

The problem is that I can max out all the science I can use while still in the Kerbin soi. Min, minmus, Kerbin. Probe shotgun, manned missions to collect and get reports plus samples. Gets me more science than I need in fact.

New mod idea! I'm guessing it might be a bit more complicated than changing the celestial body science multipliers, but we'll just have to wait and see.

Imho the goal is to have things to do, not so much maxing out science. Whereever you go, there should in my view be always the possibility to do science in the great overview, and also in the nearby observation of the details :)

Check out my Science Limiter modman config and DMagic's Celestial Body Science Multiplier Editor. Cut science gathering ability to the bone!

Alternatively, try a career where you never land on Mun or Minmus.

Or even better, do both. I have and the game was so much more fun.
