merlinux
Actually I THINK I've got the hang of flying it. And yeah, I know it's stupidly overpowered but I have this thing. Anything worth doing is worth overdoing. Also Duna has an amazingly thing atmostphere and I want to be sure as hell that it won't just drop through to the ground like a freaking rock. You say you have got the hang of flying it however you ask in your previous post, "how do I move forward?", I am a little confused With a stable, "flyable", craft you should be able to slowly raise your altitude and pitch down to go forward. Very slow inputs in the throttle and pitch wilp help you control your flight.

Gecko99
HI RoverQuick question bro - the large ducted fans, how do I reduce their atmospheric curve some?Im using them on my VTOL SSTO and when im landing on a mountain even 1000m up they dont produce enough thrust to hover... am i doing something wrong? Im not doing anything with hover mode etc, just trying to get enough thrust out of the Large ducted fans to land - example - Kerbin mountains next to KSC i cant land at bec they are a few thousand meters up and the ducted fans wont work at an appreciable level up there.Any suggestions as to how to make them less aggressively atmospheric density dependant?RegardsThe Gecko

Viragos
RoverDude, once again amazing work on your entire constellation. An idea occurred to me tonight whilst daydreaming about building a tiny VTOL Karborundum scanner to send with my upcoming Eve mission, since Kerbals on EVA are just essentially tiny ships, would it be possible to build a "chin" mount attachment for the AES pod with small robotic arms that allows you to use the Kerbal grab/KAS functions while still inside the pod? Kind of like the EVA pods from 2001 (That's the imagery that popped into my head while I was thinking about this)Thank you again for all your hard work on all these mods. NWDogg
Not sure what I've done, or if this is some sort of bug, or you've changed the way this pack works. I have tested just now with a completely fresh install of 0.25 KSP, and only the USI Exploration Pack (0.2.2 latest release from yesterday) installed. I seem to be missing the mini-SAS, the mini structural girder, and the mini decoupler. These are the only 3 I believe are missing. Did you possibly remove these from the pack, or is something wrong with the install? Also, the AES structural outrigger. It used to look like an octagonal strut with a little cubic strut sticking out of it, like this -O . Now, in my .25 installs, it is missing the connection piece, so it just looks like an octagonal strut. The connection node itself is still there, though. Is this also a problem with the install? Here is a picture of the outrigger, connected to the cargo rack. I've placed an octagonal strut there as well for comparison; also notice the lack of the other parts in the part menu. And output log: http://pastebin.com/075LfUFmedit: Just to clarify, this happened in my original .25 install with other mods. So, I used a new untouched fresh install (from Steam, if that matters) and got these same results. Edited October 8, 2014 by NWDogg
Thourion
@NWDogg: Hmm yeah, now that you mentioned it, since those 3 parts models you are missing, are defined from the locations of the original Squad files, now that the stock things have been moved around, i can see it gets bugged.I think RoverDude is aware of the issue though.EDIT: Hmm well now im going crazy, since i could swear i saw that mini sas in my game ... and the outrigger is appearing fine for me ... Im loading the game now to recheck!EDIT2: Yep whatever you found is true, and my initial reaction Edited October 8, 2014 by Thourion Im starting to loosing it lol
NWDogg
Ok, great. I didn't know if he was aware of it, or if it was even a problem for anyone other than myself. I won't worry about it then if it's a global problem, I know RoverDude will get around to it eventually.

Thourion
I shoulda made a git account some time ago, but never got around to it . Only thing to note for anyone that can throw an issue there, is that this bug probably affects any USI mod (of course any mod for that matter) that reads from stock 0.24.2 or earlier directories, since, from a quick glimpse, they relocated/renamed many stuff around under Squad, in 0.25. Boomerang
I see someone logged the problem on Github, but in case you haven't investigated yet, the MODEL lines in the AES Rack and Outrigger cfgs need to now reference "Squad/Parts/Structural/strutCubicOcto/model" rather than "Squad/Parts/Structural/strutCube/model"
Hevak
Ok so just downloaded and installed this. Was looking for the KAS useable crates that can hold all kinds of stuff including Tacls supplies. But can't find the crates. Found a science crate but it appears to do nothing? Possibly related to issue below?I am having another problem with this mod. In the VAB/SPH All the pack rat parts except the mini wheel and the seat, all others have no textures. Just plain white models. The mini wheel and seat have the textures, also the bsp/250 karbonite converter has no textures either just plain white. Also the KE-65 mini karbonite engine. All the herp, aes and models from other mods of yours are fine. Just those listed above are plain white. It says I got ExpPack_o.2.2. And I installed it like all other mods of yours. I dont know know how to give the logs to you or if you need any other info let me know. I'll try to do what I can. I'm not good at this stuff. Lol.edit: ok so I erased and reinstalled the ExpPack components and the pack rat parts now have the textures. But the bsp/250 converter and the KE-65 mini karb engine still are plain white. And still can't find those crate containers that hold TACLS supplies as well as other stuff that I asked about in mks thread. Edit2: exited and reloaded to update Kerbal Alarm and now all the parts listed have textures. So now just trying to find the crates I was looking for.. Here is link to the TAC thread where I was shown the containers I'm looking for just in case there is misunderstanding. First post on the page. They were attributed to USI. http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/40667-0-24-2-TAC-Life-Support-v0-10-29Aug-No-Win64-Support?p=1466041#post1466041 Edited October 10, 2014 by Hevak
Angelo Kerman
My guess is that the textures are TGA. Apparently there's some issues with TGA textures not loading properly in .25.

Boomerang
So, I seem to have come across an IVA-related bug or two with the AES and HERP command pods in .25. I don't have a clean save at the moment, so I'll tinker with that tomorrow if need but, but I can replicate this pretty easily. Two problems come up when either of the pods is attached to a part that already has space for crew. It doesn't occur between stock or between stock and other mod command pods. Here's a very basic set up. The stock pod is the root part:Everything looks kosher. Until you switch to the AES IVA. It ought to be looking west, towards the mountains, the same way it's sat on the runway. Instead, this happens (and does with any other parts it's attached to, occasionally showing clipped bits of the parent part). From experimenting with it, I can tell that the IVA of the AES/HERP part is facing 180º from where it ought to be. If it's facing up, the IVA will look down, etc. Then, whenever you separate the AES/HERP pod from the parent, either via decoupling or undocking, this happens (the focus is on the stock pod):The detached part's IVA remains in the corner until I go back to the space center and refocus on the root part. The AES pod showed only it's sole occupant in the lower right. However, the detached part refuses to show me the IVA via the C key and if I click the IVA button in the lower right avatar, it's facing some odd direction and only showing me terrain. Like I said, I'll do more investigating tomorrow if it's needed, but I'm exhausted right now and maybe there'll be an obvious fix to this. Thanks for all the awesome work! NWDogg
RoverDude, the individual Exploration pack download (0.2.2 latest) does not include the new maintenance pod or the mini-crates. They can only be found in the all-in-one download. I'm assuming you meant to include these in the Exploration pack, so I thought I should let you and everyone else know that they aren't in there. @Hevak, get the all-in-one. I spent all night reading through every single config file in the Exploration pack zip looking for those crates, but they simply aren't in there. The pods are really meant to be used solo. Fiddling with it is on the list, but fairly low priority
