Man, truth. I think they could have pulled it off if they gave him the rocking beard he had in this photo. You know who does look like him, though, with that beard? Christoph Waltz with his Django beard.

And we can all be a little more comfortable with Von Kerman's past than Von Braun's.

/sigh. Great, now the topic of the National Socialist German Workers' Party has been brought up... guess it's time for the thread to get locked...

I think the rule is that you're never more than 6 connections away from it. But do stay away from that kind of topic, or this thread will quickly be sporting a shiny grey padlock icon which, while stylish, also disables the 'reply' button.

If Squad wanted to add extra confusion, they could add a character based on "Last Man On The Moon" Gene Cernan, commander of Apollo 17. Then we would have Gene Kerman and Gene...Oh, wait?! :confused: Then they could take things a step further and add a character based on Harrison "Jack" Schmitt to advise us on Mun surface samples! :)

Steering away from that line of discussion, there's quite a few "reference" names in the lineup. Scott (Scott Manley), Buzz (Buzz Aldrin), and Kirk (Captain Kirk from Star Trek) to name a few.

I flew a ship one time with Scott, Buzz, and one of the other "specially" named kerbals, all happily in a 3 man pod

I have never had such a disastrous and catastrophic ending to a mission, ever. :confused: I probably have screenshots around here somewhere...

That's in very bad taste. Beyond being offensive, it's how threads get locked.
